This is the entirety of my comments on the Kroger Feedback page about my LATEST and likely LAST visit: Only ONE full service register open and customers with full loads 4 deep. an employee says he will take me "over there" so I step out of line and it turns out to be the SELF checkout. I tell him I do not do self checkout and try to return to the SINGLE line and now I am 7 deep. Just a couple customers in the "about" 15 items or less line when I passed it. While I do not like to abuse that line I would have today except in the span of 15 seconds there were six deep with ONE cashier. So now I am scr#wed!!!! So I go to the SELF checkout with THIRTY FREAKING ITEMS, and I HATE that checkout. Never a good experience and today was NO DIFFERENT. And the kid who was "Ill take you over there"......He spent his time talking to some female customer. My wife went to customer service and she got the typical Texas lame a$$ "Im sorry bout that". So you wasted a MINIMUM of 20 minutes of my VERY valuable time and believe me when I tell you I am as dissatisfied with a store - YOUR store, as I have been with anything in at least 25 years. And ya know what - WALMART is 4 miles closer than you are. So did I screw up going to Kroger. And Walmart prices are a bit lower!!!!!! NOT HAPPY!!!Adding to my previous post The customer service person calls the self checkout to talk to the employee and I hear him say "Ill tell you what happened later." Now come on, do you REALLY think this kid is going to tell them what REALLY happened or his version of his reality.......Inotherwords they will blow it off and chock it up to an old man just being a crank. Well, that is bad news for them -both. because this complaint WILL make it to the senior executive staff before I am finished because I am tired of incompetence, poor service, and the general Gen X?Millennial attitude. And I assume the folks who run Kroger will want to know that they are NOT being told thew truth about what really happens in the trenches!!!!!POORLY staffed and no management around to witness the severely sub standard service being provided. You apparently have a big training issue. Just teaching the"mechanical" of the job is not good enough in your business. And self checkout, meaning WE are doing Krogers job is ok for 5 items or less WITH BAR CODES!!!!! But for my THIRTY items with a mix of produce and bakery as well as the general amount of product where I unload the basket, check it out, bag it, reload the basket, run the payment portion - PI$$ POOR and it is where I was STUCK!!!!!!

Kroger My mom went to her neighborhood Kroger. Shes a regular customer. This Kroger became a safe place for us after my car accident because it was easy access, down the street, and the staff was always kind. Anyway, my mom was checking out when a cashier turned off her light on Reg 12 and the cashier told her (in a snippy rude) to go to another line, cool, cashiers take breaks so she didnt sweat it. So my mom hopped over to the next line (Reg 11) and proceeded checking out when....she noticed the cashier on Reg 12 was checking out more customers....weird. So my mom asked another cashier who the manager was...because honestly that was pretty rude. THE CASHIER WHO TOLD MY MOM TO GO TO ANOTHER LINE WAS THE MANAGER. So this manager checks out her final people and goes to customer service and my mom followed to speak to her. (My mom coming from a customer service background, she wanted to give some feedback) My moms English is choppy at times but gets her point out. This manager proceeded to just look at my mom like a straight weirdo. So my mom asked "are you racist?" and she said "YES. IM RACIST" Which triggered a few more things: She told my mom to leave after making that wicked statement. She threatened to call the cops after my mom said she "no" because she was trying to grasp the situation. She then started accusing my mother of stealing items that were already in her cart, AND PAID FOR. Then LIED TO HER MANAGER ABOUT IT ALL. Stephanie is the managers name. My mom went in yesterday at 9PM. She was just trying to get in and out. I grew up coming here and this has NEVER happened. For my mom to be treated like this because shes Hispanic is honestly just total bull.

MONEY WAS LEFT IN THE SELF CHECK OuT MACHINE (CASH BACK) I ASK THE MANAGER IF HE COULD RUN THE CAMERAS BACK TO VERIFY THAT SOMEONE TOOK THE MONEY BECAUSE I WAS UNSURE IF THE MONEY ACTUALLY CAME OUT OF NOT. IT WAS SUBTRACTED FROM MY BANK ACCOUNT HOWEVER. HE WAS RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL SOUNDED LIKE A RACIST RED NECK... HE SAID YOU WANT ME TO TAKE THE TIME OUT TO GO THROUGH HOURS OF FOOTAGE JUST BECAUSE YOU FORGOT TO LOOK FOR YOUR MONEY?? Then He went on to SAY IF I GOT A POLICE REQUEST HE WOULD DO IT. HYSTERICAL!!! All he had to say was MY RAGGEDY ASS STORE DONT HAVE FUNCTIONING CAMERAS SO I WANT BE ABLE TO. (Told to me by the cash office lady and the HEAD receiver). They jokingly stated this is why our EMPLOYERS like to help themselves to cases of beer. I look shocked and was like thats none of my business i dont even drink i just want to know what happened to my money. I would take it as a loss if it came out of the machine and i walked off and left it and somebody stole it but i dont know if the money actually came out. I made it to the second entrance doors and realized i didnt have the money turned back around went to the register i was at and nothing was there and no one had checked out behind me in that split second.

If I could give the store a zero I would I was returning two packs of rotten chicken Stephanie directed me to stand in line at the customer service counter which is fine however after 15 minutes I asked her was there anyone else working that could help the person already there she said no that the girl went home and continue to do what she was doing after 45 minutes of standing in the line with rotten chicken smelling rotten chicken should I say I get to the front of the counter Stephanie then decide shes going to get on the register but complain because there should be other another person up here with Norma...Norma was sweet she was patient she was kind and she understood no one should have to stand in a line for 45 minutes smelling rotten chicken so now that Im officially nauseated I dont think anyone should ever buy meat from there go there or expect any type of timely professional or adequate customer service. Krogers I will never return department Im the calling district manager and store manager completely unacceptable but thank you norma for being so sweet.

Used to think they had a good selection until I wanted chicken breast. They were sold out of regular stuff and only had more expensive organic stuff. Not what I wanted, but I settled for it... but then the cashier forgot to bag it and I didnt notice until I got home. I called and they said I could return for the chicken (it was nighttime already and I didnt feel like driving all the way back) but I asked if I could get a refund and they said I could. I went back today and they hassled me about getting a refund and said I would have to pick a similarly-priced piece of chicken. I said that no, the person I spoke to last night said I could get a refund, so they said "Alright, just this one time" but instead of crediting my card or giving me cash, they gave me a stupid GIFT CARD. I shouldve fought more but theyd already worn me down by that point. Never had this much trouble with a grocery store before. THEY made the mistake but I had to spend MY time and effort to try to correct it and STILL didnt even get my own money back. Wont be returning.
