My wife and I visited the store at Camp Verde on March 20 2017. We noticed right away that not one staff member spoke to us, welcomed us, or acknowledged our presence when we entered the store even though 3 were standing near the front door. As we made our way around the store, upstairs and down, no one ever spoke to us to see if they could assist us with anything. The only person who paid any attention to our being in their store was one female employee in the kitchen-ware dept who followed us around like she thought we were going to steal something. Again, not once did she utter a single word to us. Needless to say we left without spending a penny. P.S. We had lots and lots of pennies to spend there.

Our family enjoyed our first visit to Camp Verde Restaurant. The premises are beautiful. Service was attentive and pleasant, atmosphere great. Two of us had the full meal, excellent flavors, but I agree with other reviewers I would prefer mashed potatoes instead of the garlic mashed potatoes. Three of our party were disappointed with the sliced yellow cheese and mustard on the tiered sandwiches, and a better bread would improve also. Over all, we enjoyed the meal. especially ending it with the gelato. I would recommend the restaurant and plan to visit again. Connie B

A must see lots of Texas history in the Beautiful Texas Hill Country on Highway 173 between Kerrville Texas and Bandera Texas just north of the Bandera Pass.I grew up just on the south side of the Bandera Pass and have always loved this place use to ride my horse up to Camp Verde Store when my Grandmother was post master there and set on the front porch.

Just a nice little lunch spot. I had the roast beef sandwich w ajus and the sweet potato tots. Hubby had the Reuben and potato chips. We shared halves with each other, and also shared the pecan cobbler for dessert. It was all delicious. Not as busy on a weekday as it is on the weekends!

Love love love this store really neat this store use to be a old post office back in the day. This store has everything and more a little pricey but was worth it for sure. And if you havent been during christmas you must go all decorations from the bottom floor to the top.

Loved this place. While riding horses on a ranch near here the lady we rode with told us about this place. Decided to stop and eat. Best sandwiches ever and really reasonable on prices. We also loved the general store with all the stuff they have for sale.

This is a hidden gem. They have a fantastic restaurant, and the store has so many cool gadgets and products, youll wish you had more space in your car to take them all home. The history of the place is very interesting as well.

Excellent food at reasonable prices. Come esrly or be prepared to wait. Gift shop has unique gifts. Beautiful outside grounds can be rented for events. Verde creek across road has benches and shade trees for relaxation
