We had a GREAT time this weekend thanks to JBeez Watercraft! Theres nothing like being on the water and since I dont own a boat anymore, I was real glad to find a place that rented them. We had just planned on renting a ski boat but ended up renting a jet ski too. Everyone had a blast! My brother had a pontoon boat too but the ski boat and jet ski were definitely the best part of the weekend! We did some fishing but spent most of the day tubing and skiing. My daughters stayed on the jet ski almost the entire day and loved every minute of it. It was the best way to spend a long weekend and definitely money well spent! The staff was great. Everyone was really nice and helpful even though they were really busy with the holiday. They made sure we had everything we needed and went through the paperwork with us fairly quickly and did some training on the boats (even though were boat people). Their store is stocked with everything you could think of needing for the water and they have a large changing room and several restrooms. Very much appreciated by the ladies in my group. Im not sure if it was because of it being labor day weekend, but they had smoked BBQ there and even though we had brought food, it smelled so good that we ended up getting some platters when we got off the water. It was delicious! Thanks to everyone who helped make this weekend great. We all really appreciated how you all took care of us. Well definitely be back next year!

Worst boating experience EVER!! Dont waste your money but more importantly, do NOT waste your time. When we called to get rental pontoon boat I asked how old their boats were.... was told they were new. Well, yes -- they are new.... NEW TO THEM. We were put on the most ridiculous boat EVER, it was AT LEAST 30 years old. Manager came out to show us how to start the engine and had to show us "important" features of the boat. That pretty much included..... start the boat every 30 mins so it will keep running. What to do if it doesnt start....etc. etc. After numerous times of the owner trying to get the boat to start at the rental place, it wouldnt start -- we should have known then to RUN!! My husband was ready to leave after our tutorial, but said he didnt want to ruin our day since we were there to celebrate birthdays. Anyway, we followed them down to the boat dock, got it loaded and away we went..... unbeknownst to us, in a boat that took over 45 mins to start on several occasions AND without an anchor AND with zero ropes to tie off to a dock! After spending over an hour at the marina trying to get it to start, we called them to come pick it up after spending less than 3 hours on it and over 3/4 of the time was spent trying to get it to start. So if you want to rent a jalopy and look like Clark Griswold on Center Hill Lake, then this is the boat place for you to go.

We went to their shop to sign the paper work in the morning of the rental as asked. We signed around 12 pages, each, and gave them a credit card for them to imprint 4 times?!! So then after signing the mortgage I went out to look at the expensive wave runner. It was a total of almost six hundred dollars for 8 hours. So like their web page shows I thought itd be new or at least maybe a year old. No!!! It was 10 years old and looked like one youd get for maybe 800-1000 on craigslist. Its a piece of crap!!! For 600 dollars??!! Hell no! So after a little back and forth with the manager he says "Ill give you 50 dollars off" and " noone ever gets that". Thatd be on top of my huuuge military discount of 10 dollars!? Wow...!!! Thanks for nothing. So then we finally , in an incredibly rude manner, were told wed get a refund. Even their staff that was helping me thought their prices were ridiculous. Thanks for screwing up my last weekend before going back to the Middle East. So beware. Ask how beat up and old their stuff is before renting. I made the mistake of going by their website. It is very misleading. Oh I almost forgot to mention. The 9 dollar lighter I bought quit working a few hours after buying. Geeeeeeze!!

1 review 5.0 star rating 7/21/2016 I am very happy to report that the good folks at Jbeez Watercraft Rentals did what few companies do these days and made a bad situation better than right. I received a call from the General Manager, Jason, yesterday. Apparently Jason had been away when the pricing debacle occurred a few weeks back and upon his return looked into the situation. Jason came to the conclusion that there was a communication breakdown during the rental process and that he would make it right. He reversed all of the charges for the two extra days and did indeed come through for us, his valued customer. Its a rarity that a business person will take the time to understand a difficult situation and then act on his/her findings to fix the problem. I want to publicly thank Jason for being completely honest and transparent in his business dealings, and I look forward to renting another watercraft from Jbeez next year. There is a reason this company has been successfully in business for the past 17 years; its been led by good and honest people like Jason.

Our first time with Canoe the Caney (in 2014) was okay, but it was a slow weekend for them with intermittent rain. Our most recent experience (Saturday of Memorial Day weekend 2015) was pretty bad. We always make a reservation. Once checked-in, they tried to take our friends personal canoe with another party (we had to point this out); then didnt load the right number of canoes vs. kayaks on the trailer with our group (also had to point this out); and once wed arrived at the drop point they realized they hadnt brought enough oars/paddles for either canoes OR kayaks - even though wed specifically asked about this before leaving their store. We waited an hour at the drop point for more paddles to arrive, so it took well over two hours to get in the water from the time we arrived (and we arrived on time). After canoeing it took about an hour to get back to their store - which is typical - but all told we spent more time waiting on these folks than we did canoeing.

On Memorial day, 2014, we took our boat out on Center Hill. JBeez had winterized it this past fall, but failed to tighten the hose clamps back as they should have. We werent out for 5 mins before hoses started popping loose and causing the boat to start sinking and the exhaust pipes to melt from the heat while we tried to get safely to shore. I took the boat back to Jason to share the bad news, which he excused as my fault. Well see how he responds this week, and Ill post another update.

This past July, I rented a jet boat that happened to breakdown in the middle of my rental period (and in the middle of the lake too). After some initial miscommunication, I am delighted to report that company management has resolved the boat breakdown issue to my satisfaction. Obviously, the mechanical issue was a disappointment, but its comforting to know that the company will go the extra mile so customers have a positive experience if things do go awry.
