I love coming to family dollar aside from the loads of people hanging around outside , the staff is very polite most of the time and always willing to help. I have encountered an employee or two that had a bit of an attitude but they have since weeded them out. My only issue is leaving inexperienced cashiers alone at the front, when there is an issue it always take a while for someone to come and help. But over all I like the store and those who work there.

This place does what you need it to do. No more no less. Yeah, there are a few sketch folks outside, but it is downtown so it is what it is. Dont expect Waldorf Astoria service. Its an upgrade from a convenience store though.

Great place to get what you need, but its location is a bit sketchy as a bus stop out front makes it a place for people to hang out and ask for handouts. Always be aware in that area of town!
