Im very disappointed in SVDP PGHs stringent donation policies. I recently scheduled a pickup of a 8 foot , two-cushion, light fabric couch my wife and I intended to donate, following our purchase of a new couch. Its in great shape, fully functional, albeit with a small discoloration on one side of one of the cushions. Because of this, SVDP refused the donation. Someone in need could have used this couch. SVDP PGH could have sold this couch for $5 to someone in need of furniture. They choose not to. Having no way of transporting the couch ourselves, were now forced to curb it for trash removal. If SVDP PGH truly aims to help "the poor in local communities" they may want to reconsider their rigid donation criteria so such materials can get to the people who really need them.

There is an employee who is thin, blonde who has the best attitude and way with customers that is hands down the best employee I seen a very long ting time. She should be promoted to management. She is a ray of sunshine and so please tell to be around. I watched her problem solve and work very hard for months. Im a regular at the store and I suggest they dont let her go, it would be their loss for sure. I usually dont post rave reviews or much at all but I really feel this woman deserves to be noticed.

I shop here often, probably spending 200 on average. I buy for friends and family as well as myself. I dont know what one of the older employees, older woman with dark hair has with me. But she will not say hello, wont answer me and has accidentally overcharged me. But u have decided to not go back and take my money elsewhere. I refuse to be treated like that. Im nice to everyone and I have no idea what her issue is.. But i wont go back. Sadly, it was my fave goodwill but there are many others.

Poor selection, somewhat overpriced (for a thrift store), and also the person who rang me up entered one of the items wrong and I ended up paying $2 more. Yes, my fault for not checking the reciept while in store, but I certainly wont be going back.

Helpful and cheerful staff, and VERY reasonable prices. Fairly good selection of items too. The location however, is @ a busy intersection, so advise caution regarding entry and exit. You may want to plan your trip outside of rush hour traffic.

Some of the employees are hateful. The management cheats on items and then complains about other employees. I dedicatedly dont recommend this place.
