Construction Junction is a great place to visit. Fun to look around! Definitely recommended! Located close to the intersection of N. Braddock Ave. and Penn Ave. -- just across from the East End Food Co-op. Ya never know what you may find in this large warehouse space. Ive purchased some lightly used office chairs, trex deck material, a small cube display stand, and many other things. In addition to furniture, they also have paint, windows, sinks, recycled built-in cabinets, and a ton of doors in various sizes and shapes... The front area seems to have a frequent rotation of new stuff week by week. The other areas not as much. (I do understand the point voiced by a prior review writer -- that the wood area is useless. The section does occupy a lot of space for wood that does not seem to be sold too quickly & I have also noticed the wood is expensive considering it is salvaged stuff... But ... I know nothing about their sales and I am no wood expert...) The only thing that annoys me is the hours they are open: M-F 8am-5pm | Saturday 9am-5pm | Sunday 11am-4pm. I wish they were open later one day during the week or weekend. :) I do love going here though. I love what they are doing. Recommended.

Just had a terrible experience trying to coordinate a pick-up for some antique doors. Even if you are backed up or swamped with work, there is a proper way that you should speak to your customers. I should not be left feeling like my calling to ask for a simple time frame was the worst possible thing. If you dont want to deal with calls about pick-up, you should clearly state this on your web site along with a general time frame that these pick-ups are processed. That was totally unexpected!

The only place like it around here. Great prices on bathroom fixtures. Lots of doors, door hardware, windows, cabinets. Not much in the way of lumber, moldings. Some antique/salvage stuff for those with cash to burn. If youre going to buy something new, stop here first to look for a cheap used alternative. Old glass is cheaper here than anywhere ($1 for a large inch sash). Recycling dumpsters outside often contain great stuff (buckets, boxes, books).

This is a great re-use center, and they also accept donations. Call ahead because sometimes they have too much of a given material or item and wont accept your donation. Otherwise, head over and browse for building materials that are much cheaper than what youll find at the home improvement stores. Also, the events they hold like the Big Pour are some of the best in the city. Great place all around.

They have a large variety of house stuff.i think im safe saying surplus and or used stuff. My first house had putty pink bathroom; this place had everything putty pink for that bathroom, amazing! Note the cool knobs. Scratch that off the list. They get stuff all the time. You can donate house stuff, too! Roughly organized: doors are in the door section all the doors, screened, glass, etc

Best place anywhere for weird, off beat, vintage stuff! Want parts from a wooden pipe organ from the 1800s? Got that. Want windows or doors form old houses? Got that. Also has new stuff, like a palette of low pressure sodium street lamps and several boxes of tiles or wooden flooring. Dont be in a hurry when you get here. There is a LOT to take in. Also... Bring a truck, youll need it.

Agree with an earlier reviewer concerning donation pickups. They are not especially helpful in scheduling the pickup nor in making it convenient for those who wish to donate. Phone calls left unanswered for long periods, inflexible schedules, no offer of help to move heavy items. I guess business must be good.

Construction Junction is great! They always have nifty things to find and if you know what you want you can get it super cheap if you are flexible on condition! Their office furniture is nice too, changes quiet a bit so come back a few times if still looking.

A fun store to shop. Selection is hit-or-miss, but thats the case with any store that relies on donations. Great for home improvement projects if you are a DIY type or have an older house. Nice to see so much material kept out of a landfill.

Over Priced, old junk. Every time I go there looking for something I always walk out with nothing. I cannot believe the insane prices! 10.00 hammers, 5 to 10.00 old boards most are crap, ancient crappy furnishings for 50-75 and even100 dollars!

My house is full of great finds from Construction Junction. Stuff you cant get at the store. An entire kitchen full of beautiful REAL WOOD cabinets from an old house. Refinished and theyre gorgeous. Most visits I come home with something great.

Best place around for cheap/vintage furniture to repurpose - You dont have to meet up with strangers online! New stuff daily as things go quickly.. So if you want it, you pretty much have to make your decision then or it may be gone next time.

If you have extra building or construction materials and you dont want to put it in a landfill, donate it here! And if you need odd building or construction materials (or paint or furniture), you can get it here! This place is great.

Neat place to go if you are looking for odds and ends for an older home. Sometimes they have so way out of the ordinary stuff, but I would recommend checking out the website first in case you are looking for anything in particular.

I do home modeling and repair. I always refer my customers to the store. I even brought my kitchen cabinets here. It is the best place to find unique items at a at a good price. Correction at the best price possible.

Love this place. I dont always find what Im looking for but I usually find something. Reduce, reuse, recycle. So thankful to find old parts for our old home and to have a place to donate to for others.

It has a good selection. it is very dirty and my allergies bother me after going there. It has good prices based on new items but it is more expensive than the restore. I always shop restore first.

I wish Id known about Construction Junction earlier. There is such an astounding variety of reclaimed ephemera. The prices are amazing and the staff members are chipper and helpful.

Very cool place to buy retro fixtures and unique materials. Useful for home owners and artists. Its fun to look around even if you dont need to buy anything.

Its the reduce/reuse/recycle/antique version of Home Depot, with a recycling center attached, plus Freeride, a bicycle recycling service. Woosh. Go see this.

Great place to find second-hand building supplies, home furnishings, antiques, and tons of other stuff you always need... at amazingly cheap prices!

Good selection of hard to find items. But the people who work here are rude, especially at the donation door. I wont be returning here anytime soon.

Great place doing great things. Has gotten so trendy that its hard to find a treasure here now but I still go to walk around and explore.

FYI they no longer accept old TVs for recycling. Other than that service announcement, its a great place to treasure hunt
