I live in a really small town of about 13.000 residents, and its sad to say but this town does not provide an abundance of urban /natural hair care products, so being that my choices are slim to none, I am limited to buying my things on the ground..Which is why I do online shopping. I dont get in the habit of shopping online to a variety of companies, as that has its security issues, and can be dangerous, so I narrow my online shopping down to about 2 companies. Amazon is my number one go to company, but Im sure I can speak for many when I say the downside of Amazon is it is hard to get things in bulk, You usually have to pay shipping for each individual item which can be quite costly, which brings me to this review of House of Beauty today. I saw an online add of hair products that I wanted to try out and this company caught my eye, I went to the website and looked around for awhile and they had an abundance of hair care products for men and women of various ethnic background, One thing I noticed is that it had no review section, as I like to review a company or item before making a decision to buy, strike one for me..strike two for me is, theres no 24 hour customer service, I guess Amazon spoiled me with that one. And finally strike 3 was when I received my order all but one item was wrong which was a deal breaker for me, I ordered 8 total items and only 7 out 8 was right. My shipment arrived on a Saturday which they were closed another bummer, because now I had to wait until Monday to call and complain. When Monday rolled around I called, and the young lady who answered the phone was nonchalant and not very pleasant. Needless to say she put me on hold only to comeback and say "we are not allowed to deliver items under 8 dollars" by this time I was seething, so I asked for Mgt. This guy was a bit more caring and understanding, and eventually he worked out my issue. Nevertheless I will not be ordering from this company again, Too many issues for a first time customer. I gave it a rating of two stars only because they have a variety of hair care products to choose from, although that maybe nothing to some but its a big deal for me because I do not have the luxury of getting most of what I need on the ground, other than that, it would have only been ONE star.

I have been a long time customer of this company, however they sent me a wrong item on my last order. When I notified them about the wrong item, it took several emails to get a response, then they asked for a picture of the item I received, then several more emails to get a response, then they said they were waiting on the shipping department to contact them to verify this, then several more of my emails went without response. Ive asked them why they cant pick up the phone and get this resolved with someone in the shipping department, but they wont answer my emails! Now Im posting a bad review as this has gone on for 5 weeks! Totally unacceptable since the item I didnt receive was less than $6. It wont break their bank. Ive been a customer of theirs for several years...no longer! Next call is to my credit card company to place a complaint! There are plenty of other places that sell beauty products, so take your business elsewhere. I hope the executive management reads this and fires whoever is the person that is handling their returns emails! I know I would as losing a customer and getting bad press over $6 would not be worth it if this were my company!

I am a professional hair stylist and almost two years ago one of my clients and older lady wanted a few wigs so i looked on line and we chose four wigs from the Foxy Silver line. I ordered the wigs and the House of Beauty collected the money in the amount of $143.82. after they collected the money i received a call informing me that two of the wigs were on back order. I was sent two wigs and the other two never came. After months and months of trying to contact the company a year later they said that it was an over site and the money would be refunded. now we are going into another year and still no refund and i am unable to reach this company. I dont think i will ever get the money owed to me and reaching these people by phone will not happen. this company is dishonest and above all they are thieves. I am sure i am not the only person this has happened to. Shame on you House of Beauty...Shame on you!!!!!!!!! You dont deserve the one star you deserve to be prosecuted for stealing money from the people who sends you money to purchase your goods...

WILL NEVER SHOP WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN! I placed an online order for a very specific product...added it to my cart (photo of the product confirmed what I had selected). Once submitted, the order was switched without my knowledge/consent. Regretfully, because I trusted them, I did not notice the switch in the confirmation email. Also regretfully, I missed the 5 day return window as I was out of town when the order was shipped (had it delivered to a family member). When I retrieved the shipment I immediately contacted House of Beauty to explain that they had made an error...that I did not order the product sent. Surprisingly, I received a very curt response without any effort to correct the error. Ive since learned that the product I wanted had been discontinued, which probably explain the switch. Ive also learned that they have a D+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. Wish I had checked the reviews before I bought from them. Now Im out $101 as I cannot use the product sent...its now in the trash.

I am appalled with the customer service of this online store. I had never seen before such rudness and incompetence. First they had no idea when you will received the tracking of your second day delivery package ( thus you don’t know if you will have on time or not..) the answer of the ‘sale representative’ was ‘I had been in the phone 7 minutes with you’ ( untrue it was 2.5 minutes) ‘that’s not my problem’ and hang up on me! I call right back, excuse me do you hang up the phone on me? her answer? yes, and I will do it again! and she did. I called pay pal to put an stop in the payment, the merchandise won’t arrive on time as i was promised and I was verbally abused. They send it anyways..a complete different brand of a lesser quality, what nightmare! stay away from those crocks.

Heed the warning of bad reviews and do not take a chance because of some good reviews for online orders. One of the worst online experiences I have had. They do not honor what they say on their website in regards to shipping. Good luck getting someone to answer one of the phone numbers listed.I am normally meticulous about researching about who I order from online and wasnt this time trusting that it was okay because its a Google Trusted Store. They do not respond to emails in any sort of timely manner. Do not trust this company for online orders. Youve been warned. Its better to pay higher prices for something from a reputable place than risk your credit card being charged and not knowing if or when you will get what you ordered according to their own policies listed.
