PLEASE HEED MY WARNING!! CONSUMER BEWARE!! MY HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE AT CITYSIDE AUTO!! I WAS TOLD TO DROP OFF MY CAR ON MONDAY FOR INSPECTION. DROPPED IT OFF AND NEVER HEARD BACK FROM THEM. I CALL THEM DAY 3-- WEDNESDAY TO FIND OUT WHAT THEIR MALFUNCTION IS FOR A SIMPLE INSPECTION AND IM TOLD THE MECHANIC WAS SICK AND THEY ARE SORRY. IM INFORMED IT PASSED INSPECTION BUT NOT EMISSIONS DUE TO MONITORS NEEDING TO BE RESET. HE CAN DO IT FOR A FEE OF $55 AND IT WILL PASS EMISSIONS THEN. AGAIN NO CALL FOR THE REST OF THE DAY. DAY 4-- THURSDAY, ALMOST A WEEK, I GET A VOICEMAIL SIMPLY SAYING MY CAR IS READY AND PASSED. INSPECTIONS/EMISSIONS PLUS $55 FEE FOR MONITOR RESET. IM EXPECTING BALLPARK $120 BILL. I WALK INTO HIS SHOP DAY 4 THURSDAY BLINDSIDED BY A NEAR $600 BILL. SPARK PLUGS, COIL PACK, SPARK PLUG WIRES, HOOKUP AND SCANNER FEES EXCEEDING THE $55 FEE I WAS TOLD.... DONT FORGET LABOR........ ALL OF WHICH I WAS NEVER CALLED ABOUT. NEVER GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO SAY NO. I COULD HAVE REPLACED THOSE PARTS FOR MUCH CHEAPER. I AM TREATED RUDELY AND TOLD THAT THEY MAKE MISTAKES BUT I WOULD HAVE NEEDED THE STUFF ANYWAY. I ALSO GET A BUNCH OF B.S. EXCUSES LIKE THE MECHANIC WAS SICK MONDAY AND I, THE OWNER, WAS AWAY TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY. HE WAS CONDESCENDING, ARROGANT, AND DOWNRIGHT RUDE TO ME. IM THE PAYING CUSTOMER WHO JUST WAS BLINDSIDED BY A BILL THEY NEVER INFORMED ME ABOUT. I HOPE IT WAS WORTH RIPPING ME OFF BECAUSE THEY WILL NEVER SEE ANOTHER DOLLAR FROM MY POCKET. I DONT EVER WRITE REVIEWS GOOD OR BAD BUT I WAS SO MISTREATED AND WANTED TO WARN POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS ABOUT THEIR BAD BUSINESS HABITS. THEY NEED TO CHANGE THEIR ARROGANT BIG-HEADED ATTITUDES. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!

City Side Auto has been very good to us. Over the past 13 years we have taken our cars to City Side to be serviced and had engine and other repairs. The service has been prompt and dependable. The price for the service has been very fair. We have also purchased two trucks and four cars from them. (We have 9 kids.) The cars were purchased at a very good price and the service on the vehicles has been dependable. Based upon our experience with them, we will likely purchase more cars from them and have and will recommend them to others. I have many friends, family, and some colleagues who regularly utilize the services at City Side. These others have expressed to me their positive experience with this business also. I bought a 2004 Jetta. Knowing that I was immediately driving to Chicago and then moving to KY, they replaced the battery and did an extra tune-up at no extra cost. shortly after I got to KY, the alternator died. The car had originally come with a 30 day warranty, to be fixed at his shop. I called to see if he would help me out despite the fact that I couldnt bring the car to his shop, and he immediately sent me a check for $150! I was very pleased with the entire transaction and impressed that he helped me out with the alternator. I would highly recommend purchasing a car from City Side Auto Sales

Ive used City Side Auto for years. Purchased 2 vehicles, 1 car and 1 truck. Great to deal with and honest. They treat you so well and know you by name. All inspections are done here too. They easily service our one car (not purchased here) that has over 200,000 miles as well as a new car. Most people will only post on here if they are upset or have an ax to grind. Not me, I love the service and suggestions they give me. I recommend City Side Auto to all my neighbors, friends and family. If you want friendly honest service demand City Side Auto.

Ill just walk or ride a bike before I buy a car here. When I asked for a Carfax on the vehicle I was looking at, he said, "I dont like using Carfax." What dealer doesnt use that? When I called my local mechanic, he looked up the Vin number for me and said the car was no good. City Side Auto obviously has something to hide.

I bought a Dodge Ram 1500 from City Side and they were great to deal with during and after the sale. Had a little something go wrong after the 3 month warranty and Scott Z. stood behind it and fixed it. Wow - you dont find that at most places. Honest people. Will buy me daughters car there next.

Bought a 2013 Jetta here for a very reasonable price. There was a bent rim and they replaced it for free. The mechanics know exactly what they are doing and seem fair and honest. Would recommend to anyone looking for a vw.
