Finding this place was really, really challenging (its directly to the right of Noodles and Co., when looking from Fruitville Pike, by the way!) but was mostly worthwhile. The order form is also a little confusing and counterintuitive. The shop is long and narrow and it was busy when we were there. The line caused what seemed to be one of the owners (a woman) to open the second register. While I admire management stepping in, she was pretty unfriendly and customer service was most definitely not her strongest suit. She seemed to be equally flummoxed by the order form as I was. The donuts themselves...my goodness. Warm, fluffy and with a hint of sweetness that you can add to or counteract, depending on which glaze/toppings/drizzles you select. I recommend the lemon glaze with blackberry drizzle, though Ive had others which have all been awesome. I also ordered a breakfast sandwich - sausage, egg and American on a plain bagel. While good, I think Ill leave breakfast to McDonalds and leave the donuts to Duck Donuts.

This is a cute little donut shop, clean, friendly service. Its nice to get fresh donuts, they are actually made in front of you as you wait. It was slightly confusing when I first visited as there are many different options, but one the cashier explained how they worked it was fun from that point on creating your own donut creations. I wish they had different base donuts to select from, as right now you get a plain down and get to pick your toppings, but it might be nice to have like a chocolate donut base or something like that. The only down side I see for this place is that there are only 2 or 3 seating options and if you want to sit in and eat your donuts you are most likely out of luck as people who ordered their donuts to go are sitting at the tables waiting for their donuts to be prepared.

Product is very good if you eat it on the spot. Not the best "to go" donut. This place suffers from the same thing a lot of other smaller franchises do. They hire young kids to run the place and no one to manage. There were 3 employees "working" on a Tuesday night. Only 2 sets of customers in the place and we had to wait 5 to 10 minutes for 1 of the employees to make all of the sundaes/donuts while the other two stood around and chit chatted. This type of service is what causes people not to consider this place when in a rush or with kids.

The donuts were fantastic! Unique offerings were plentiful and they were nice and warm when I got them back to the office... My team went bananas over them. The French toast was the highlight for me. Their ordering system was a bit archaic and confusing... I just filled out the form and asked for them to pick a dozen for me... Turned out to be the right choice. Awesome addition to the Lancaster area since Fractured Prune is no more.

After all the raving reviews, I thought this place would be spectacular. It was just okay. The wait was long because we had people who couldnt make up their minds to order. I just dont think Chipotle style ordering is good for donuts. The donut was good but only because it was hot. Doubt that it would stand up to the test of time and cooling down.

This was my first Duck Doughnuts experience. The doughnuts tasted fantastic and melted in your mouth because they are all made to order. I got a small iced coffee and a doughnut for $3 which isnt a bad price at all. The doughnuts are a little more expensive than typical doughnuts but worth the price because they all can be customized.

Local franchise of NC-based chain that people from North Carolina swear by. Cake donuts are cooked and topped to order and served to you hot. As a donut minimalist, I preferred the simpler toppings as I found some of the combinations overwhelming. Base donut was very good though. Coffee was pretty good too.

Duck Donuts, melt in your mouth and made while you watch. Every donut is made after you place your order. Ive been to the original Duck Donuts and this one is the same so nobody should be disappointed. Its not a place to stop for a dozen for the office quickly so leave the house early. Mmm mmm good :)

Extremely busy when we were there due to a crowd of teenagers ordering every possible combination of donuts. The staff were friendly despite the rush. The donuts were top notch, even compared to other duck donut facilities. Very clean eating area with clear instructions on how to order.

Ok donuts, busy and a bit dirty on my visit. Of the four coffee types out three were empty at 9am and orders are split so donuts came out fifteen minutes before a breakfast sandwich of the same order. Fine, but not worth driving out of your way for.

Super crowded today, but the team was courteous and helpful. This is very similar to the fractured prune down in the city. Just choose you donut and the toppings! Smell is delicious

"You gotta try the bacon donuts," my son says. Didnt sound too appetizing, but it was delicious!! They bake the donuts to your specifications right then and there. Awesome place.
