Glenwood has the best priced produce and cheese in the area. Big bins are brought in straight from the auction and priced at better than farm stand prices. To be fair, you have to watch what you buy. Always check the dates. They state that some of the products they buy are out of date, and we all know many items are good way past the official posted date. But many, many, many items I have bought have been as good as the major chain groceries, at half the price. Service is great. Only three cash registers, but they call RIGHT AWAY for help. And they get baggers involved. This store is tucked in the corners of Greencastle, but it is just off the "Sheetz" intersection on Rt 16 and Grindstone Hill. Easy to get to from Rt 81, no traffic jams. I cant say enough about this store. They have their hours plainly posted with one web search. Specials are put out every week to an email mailing list. I go to Glenwood before I go anywhere else. Then, when I have to, I go to Klines and Food Lion. Greencastle has the best local shopping there is anywhere.

I have only been to the store twice and love it. I find the best fresh veggies, at prices I can afford. The cheese aisle is my husbands favorite. Some exceedingly good cheese at great prices. Bacon, which we love, is a full $2.00 per pound less. They have frozen, locally made, spicy chicken patties. We had them tonight and they were great. I can think of so many ways to use them. They also have them regular. Mayo, that I pay $3 99 a jar, was $1.59. I cant say enough about their prices. Yogurt for our breakfast smoothies, less than half price. Nothing I purchased was past the selling dates. Lots of organic buys, gluten free, coconut flour, almond meal everything I need for our Paleo diet. Go, check everything, buy what is a great buy, leave the rest. Its like any other place, you must check everything. But, butternut squash $.79 each, cabbage, large heads .99 each, fresh baby spinach $1.00 big bag. White sweet potatoes, large, are so good fried in butter. Go, you will love the savings.

I had shopped at Glenwood Foods ever since they opened. As time has gone by the store has gone down hill. I guess they just want the money. The lunch meat is old and spoils fast. The veggies are sometimes ok, but be careful they tend to be rotting just waiting for you to buy them. The cheese is usually getting old and mold has started growing. A lot of the food is old and should not be sold. Can goods are high in price. If you drive down another 3 miles there is Klines in Shady Grove. Great prices on meat and the can goods are priced right. So go the extra mile before going to Glenwood. Bye bye Glenwood hello Klines.

I have been shopping there for the past 2 years... They were very good when they just opened, but now they can be very expensive in some things I would say in 70% considering the fact that the exp.date is sooooo close and they try to sell it for the price I can buy in regular store with a better exp. date.... I would recommend to pick what you buy and dont assume that everything is cheap there... At least not any more... people who work there are adorable... very polite and patient, i think that is the main reason I still continue going there :)

For the most part very good for the money. Some of the products are Beyond or very near their sell-by date and personally I would not purchase any type of dairy or meat products in that manner. But my dog loves The radishes and other fresh vegetables

They got the best price on produce and best yet mostly locally grown. The specials vary upon availability of products but mostly consistent. If your into baking then this is your go to place for all your supplies cheapest around.

What a great place to find a bargain! They have weekly deals, many items at a cheap price, and a unique variety. Please note: some items are expired and you need to check the dates on the packaging.
