This is not your typical thrift store. Huge bins full of unsorted, unfolded clothes & linens, bins full of random toys, many broken, books, glassware, etc. Some furniture. AMAZING prices. You pay for anything in the bins by the pound & the more you buy, the less per pound. Want an entire laundry basket full of tennis balls for the dog park? Youll likely find them here and pay an obscenely low amount, and love it. Looking for something very specific, foolish to do it here. Going with a few others, planning to put anything in decent shape into your basket that is the right size for who youre shopping for, and then take an empty cart & sort back through all your finds with another set of eyes, youll do fine. I wouldnt go alone, too overwhelming. But when I take a couple of the kids with me and were shopping for them & their cousins to supplement their Back-To-School wardrobes, weve been able to get two shopping carts piled HIGH for under $75, total. They experiment with charging $3.75 for a pair of shoes briefly, but now theyre back to the by-the-lb for those. Ive gotten adorable, matching duvet covers in perfect condition there. Take baby wipes for your hands when youre done, or hand sanitizer for as you go. If you find something damp, dont scream, but DO wash your hands. If youre looking for old denim for a project or clothes to refashion, this is definitely where to go. If youre trying to buy a LOT of clothes for a little $, give it a shot. If youre easily squeamish & dont like digging through piles of clothes, skip it.

Almost 5 stars from me but I have one issue that gets under my skin. Really fun with very few rules but management seems to pick and choose which to enforce. Everyone lines up to be ready for the first hands into the newly filled bins. They have clusters of line 6 tables at a time and no one is allowed to dig in until all tables are exchanged and in place. While employee try to enforce the rules of everyone waiting as soon as they can get away with it the Hispanic men and women are sneaking and peaking taking what they want. Employees tell them to wait when they catch them but the continue to do it when they think they wont be caught. They know the rules and they know they get away with it anyway. Goodwill employees need enforce the rules and kick known cheaters out of the store and ban repeat offenders. Its worse than shop lifting. Its ribbing other patrons of their oppritunity to find that highly desired or valued items. Its not fair that some sit and follow the rules while others knowingly cheat and steal. Its gross and a real slap in the face when they are not held accountable..... But dont you dare touch a bin when the clock hits 8pm. Its closing time and they managers and employees enforce that rule without the slightest bit of leaniency. Come on folks.... Im tired of feeling bullied and I know your other patrons are tired as well.

ok instead of saying how good or bad it is I will just give advice: Dont expect to find what you are looking for, several occasions I have gone here looking for pants or tops or a coat and I find sheets or wedding dresses or lots of panties. Just have an Idea of what you are hoping to get, make sure your arms are in shape, and when they bring a new bin out dont go anywhere near it! If you want the best deal for a large amount, make sure you get more then 25 pounds (86 cents a pound) Also remember certain types of clothing are seasonal, if you want sweat look during the summer and tank tops during the winter, sometimes during the spring cleaning youll get bedding baby stuff and bath mats. I got lucky befor our camping trip and found 2 perfect sleeping bags. Good luck and happy hunting, sometimes its really worth the "trouble"

Yes, the by the pound is the key factor here. There are a few big items or flat-rate items [i.e. books] but otherwise you can pile stuff in your cart and then it is weighed and you pay by weight. Be sure to examine what you are looking at because sometimes people just remove part of the object [i.e. speakers from a stereo or the disk from the box, etc.]. If you are okay digging and frankly dont mind the fact that some of this is mildly dirty you can save a lot of money. I got a golf bags and basic clubs at the Hillsboro location for $12! I got a nice messager bag for a few bucks. I got a lot of hangers for a buck...I could go on and on. There are some things under the glass case for a set price--DVDs, cell phones, computers, etc. You can get books cheap here!!!

Its loads of fun and an awesome place to hang out. The employees are always really friendly and very helpful . You meet lots of new people shopping there and become friends helping each other find the things they are searching for. They always have lots of interesting FINDS and its fun creating things for your yard and house from ideas on face book. The prices are affordable and its exciting taking something from ugly and old and making it vibrant and GOTTA HAVE it. Living around the elderly they are always waiting to see what I come home with to fix up their yards!! I love the Goodwill Bins on Portland Road and have been going there 21 years. It seems like only yesterday ... if you have never been here come on down... You are going to love it !!!

Massive outlet store with enough people inside to make anyone feel a bit claustrophobic. Great deals on just about everything though. If you dont mind the crowds or digging through endless piles of everything all mixed together, of course. You pay by the weight of your items instead of the normal pricing. The more you buy, the cheaper the cost per lb. I have a lot of fun when I can take the Black Friday-esque behavior of all the other customers. And always find fantastic deals that are well worth the anxiety of the stressful trip. :-P

I like it here, if you know what to expect you wont get scared,Lol. I find fun stuff you have to find your people and stick together. I got my wallet stolen after it fell out of my purse another girl had her phone taken out of her bag. The crowd has gone downhill since the word got out it was open. I still find goid stuff but beware of the bottom spectrum of humanity that case the place. Hope that helps.

Ive been to many goodwill outlets and this on is by far the cleanest and least stinkiest. I bought a table and five chairs for $25. It was a great deal for solid wood and its in great condition. The clothes I bought were like new and didnt smell or have stains. The staff were helpful and friendly. The only downside is you cant plug in electronic items to test if they work. Ill definitely shop here again.
