This is the place to go when you cant find what you want at home depot or lowes... Actually, for me, they are even before them, they are just down the road. The people are very friendly, knowledgeable, ,they ALWAYS give me good advice if they dont have what Im specifically looking for, they tell me where to go to find it. When I walk in the door, its pretty quiet. The first person to see me always looks, asks if I need help, if not, they leave me to meander the isles. I always know, I can bring two products to them after Im done wandering, ask an opinion, and I get both sides, the pos and neg, about each item. It might not be a bright shiny store, but the items they carry, the service they give... Home depot and Lowes, eat your heart out! This store is jam packed with quality and hard to find products. Find them.

Want help before you ruin a wall or work on some other project around the house? Go to Wichita. I asked them about hanging a speed bag on a wall built with double layered sheet rock (the space used to be a recording studio) that put the studs more than two inches behind the wall. Instead of just giving his own recommendation, the guy behind the counter called out to a contractor who was there buying supplies, and he gave me some great advice. You dont get that at Home Depot.

Wichita has always been a household name in my family; a true definition of good old Boys. They were the “go to” when hitting a sprinkler head with the mower or needing to match a replacement bolt for a table saw. Daily trips were made to satisfy odd-ball needs for our cabinet shop. Still avoid Home Depot whenever possible because their experience, knowledge and quality merchandise can not be matched.

Whitchita Feed and Hardware is every thing a Hardware store should be. If they dont have it they know where to get it and if they dont what ever it is may not exist. The only thing missing in the store is a wood stove with a bunch of old codgers sitting around chewing the fat. I have been trading there for 30years before Lowes, Home Depote and all the other big boox boys. by Local

Thanks for the worst service, ever. I have lived 1/2 mile away for 6 years and gave you many chances - but Ill be going to Home Depot rather than deal with the attitudes of the owners/staff. Ive never encountered a business with such low levels of customer service. Its like theyre doing you a favor by just being there. Theyre not.

I come here just to buy dog food. The prices are reasonable for the amount you get and its the only dog food that doesnt give my dogs any allergic problems. Its a small little store but packed with great products and the customer service I have received was great. They even carry the large bag of dog food to my car everytime.

long before I was a neighbor I was a customer, now that I dont live in the Portland area I still stop in. They are one of the best in the USA. Sometimes theyre swamped busy, but they are great and do what they can. Long may they wave!

Everyone there is incredibly nice and helpful, and you can find lots of hard-to-find stuff, fairly cheap. When I was in 3rd grade they even donated 30 lbs. of dog food to me for a school fund-raiser for the Oregon Humane Society!
