Have you ever wanted to experience Monty Pythons cheese shop sketch as a participant rather than an observer? My wife and I had some wonderful egg-butter tarts here one happy day, but a few weeks later, when I returned to buy them again, I was told they would take "a while" to make. I had time, so I asked, "How long is a while?" After some hemming and hawing, the clerk hesitantly said, "Fifteen minutes?" "No problem," I said, "Ill have a coffee and wait." Well, after paying for my coffee and the tarts, sitting down at a table to wait "a while," and a little bit more back and forth with the clerk, I eventually learned that what the she actually meant to say was, "The person who makes them isnt here today." And then she acted sulky when I asked for my money back. So many perfectly ordinary business transactions turn into weird, Alice-in-Wonderland conversations in this benighted town...

Awesome coffee, awesome food, wonderful people... And best of all... They deliver! Having a one year old I totally need coffee, and sometimes drip doesnt cut it. Its nice to not even have to leave the house. Cant recommend this place enough, love it!

Great coffee and tea selection! Breakfast and lunch options are great, plus the pastry choices are always too good. I love this place and its right under the AAMC! Great for coffee after yoga, before belly dance or a snack after Zumba!

Have to go here every time Im in Astoria! Most delicious paninis and soup! Have tried everything here but its very reasonably priced, great food, and friendly service. Would recommend you seek out this little spot on your next visit.

Great neighborhood coffee shop. Inexpensive simple breakfast and lunch. Two different types of local Sleepy Monk coffee on tap as well as espresso. Local sisters run it with a smile.
