Dear CVS, Im breaking up with you. At 9:20 AM on September 5, 2012 I was the sole customer in this CVS pharmacy on S. Old State Rd. I was there to fill a prescription needed for my two-year-old son. I approached the pharmacy counter where a young mixed-race female was standing and shuffling some papers around. Busy with her inanimate papers she refused to greet me. She played the game of, "If I pretend long enough that youre not there, maybe youll disappear." I continued to stand there long enough for it to become awkward. She finally looked up at me, her face seeming to communicate "Gad, youre still here," and in a flat disdainful voice said, "Ill be with you in a minute." She then continued to busy herself with her inanimate papers instead of greeting and serving the human, breathing, customer who stood before her. Trying to be understanding I waited a bit longer as she continued to look at her papers then walk away. I got the hint, and left. I then began shopping for 3-5 minutes and went to the front counter to purchase my items. Lo and behold, no one was standing at the front counter either. I called out "Hello?," and a distant voice yelled back to me "Ill be there in a second!" Frustrated I yelled back, "It seems that everyone is too busy to help a customer!" The distant voice yelled back, "Im helping a customer right now!!!" At which point, I walked out of the store, empty handed and unserved. So with that, I have decided to treat CVS with the same level of respect that they had for me. The young pharmacy tech will finally get her wish, I will disappear…along with my consumer dollars and these words of warning for any other consumer. I am a creature of habit. I have been a loyal CVS customer since I moved to Ohio in 2005. But this experience has shown me this relationship is one-sided. I continue to be loyal. They continue to that me like a doormat. I am sure I will find no difficulty in transferring my prescriptions and purchasing vitamins and make-up at at an establishment that will smile when they take my hard-earned, meticulously budgeted consumer dollars. So long CVS! Hello service!

I was put on hold for 20 minutes, hung up on, and recalled. Second call a woman put me back on hold. Finally, someone answered the phone. I asked if they had an infant otoscope. I was put back on hold when the actual pharmacist came on line.... I asked same question, he had no idea what an otoscope was. I would be concerned to pick up prescription drugs from a licensed professional that does not know what an otoscope is. After I explained it was for ear infections, he said I dont know and disconnected call. Nice job at customer service and having no idea what medical terms are when you are providing prescription drugs.

They always have long lines and are slow at servicing their customers. They always have excuses for the reasons the drugs are NOT ready. The fax machine isn’t working. It got filed incorrectly. The insurance didn’t get approved. It is amazing how many times our scripts aren’t ready when promised. They don’t always ask about drug allergies.

My go to CVS. I come from a big city and this CVS has their act together and so love it. They call you and let you know when your mess are ready and will go out of their way to call the doctor when your prescriptions have run out. Front store has many things for quick shopping. A must if you want good service.

I have visited this location for the Minute Clinic a few times in the past 3 years. Each time, the wait has been very short, and the care has been exactly what I needed. Seeing an expert then getting a prescription in one stop is very convenient.
