I would give this no stars! let me explain, this will be a long one. I never REALLY wanted a tattoo, however, when my grandfather passed away, that changed. Before his passing, he wrote me a letter telling me that I could do anything I set my mind to. The letter made me very emotional and the last line of the letter was "the world stands open before you step out boldly." I decided to get that tattooed on my shoulder to dedicate to my grandfathers memory (my first tattoo!) . Austin (my artist) agreed to do this tattoo and wrote down what I wanted when I made my appointment. The day I went to get it, he typed it up for me and it was PERFECT. No spelling errors, it was an awesome font, I loved it. The experience was great at first. We chatted and Austin seemed cool. After it was finished I couldnt really read it, my skin was red and it looked backwards in a mirror but I assumed it was good because the sketch was spelled correctly (and believe me, I checked!) I paid and gave him an awesome tip. When I got outside, my friend looked at it and HE SPELLED BOLDLY WRONG! I immediately started bawling, my friend informed Austin he had made the mistake and Austin tried to correct it. Luckily, he just forgot the L so it was bodly. we told him exactly where to put the L we spelled it for him at least twice. What did he do? he spelled BLODLY!! By then, I was so upset I was shaking! he assured me that he could fix it, he wanted to cover it up with a flower?? I didnt want to do that so he put skin colored ink over it and my friend watched him spell it for the last time. I was so upset and angry my experience with tattoos is ruined and he took a meaningful quote from my grandfather and destroyed it. My friend insisted we have a refund but they refused. So, we asked for my tip amount back and they wouldnt even give that back! one of the other employees there said "what did you expect? none of us went to college?" EXCUSE ME IM PRETTY SURE MY 7 YEAR OLD NIECE CAN SPELL BOLDLY?? finally after a couple minutes of arguing, they gave us HALF the tip back. I went home and tried to put it behind me until I realized he also forgot to cross the T in step! I had had enough! my boyfriends mom, God bless her, called Short North Tattoo in Columbus and they got me in right away to fix it. I am so grateful for Biz at Short North Tattoo. Dont waist your time. Go somewhere thats actually good where they can spell above a second grade level. First picture is the mistake (bodly and the T) , second is after Austin at 22 "fixed" it (still no cross on T) , third is almost a month after Biz (short north) fixed it.

Wouldnt think about going any place else! Amazing artistry, inkwork, and professionalism. When you enter the shop you become a part of the great atmosphere created by Shawn (owner) and Anthony (manager- does all my work) for their artists ( Kevin, Rique, Brandon, Mike) who in turn provide their customers with the highest quality of work at the best prices youll find in the Columbus area. You think it up and they make the magic happen. Ive been in their chairs seven times over the last three years and my wife has been twice ( Shawns her artist) and their work just gets better every time. Nothing they cant do and each customer is treated like theyre the #1 priority while in the shop. Walk ins? Always ready. Cover ups? They can take a 30 year old ink mistake and turn it into the tattoo you deserve. Not sure? Just give em an idea of what youre looking for and a few minutes to draw it up and youll leave the shop that day with not only your new ink but already planning out your next session. Dont live near Hilliard? Two other 22 shops around town to choose from and although Ive never sat in their chairs in the other shops I can assure you that if Shawns name is on it you wont be disappointed! I had an appointment for noon. Artist didnt even show up to the shop until 1230- no apology or anything. I had gotten a sitter so this is valuable time for me. I had one medium tattoo done and one small. I was there until 6 pm! While I dont by any means want to suggest that I want the artist to rush, these were not my first tattoos and I was there significantly longer than average. Again, while Im paying for a sitter. Heres the kicker, I now have to go to a DIFFERENT artist at a DIFFERENT shop to FIX the tattoo I got done 3 weeks ago. The lines are spotty and the artist was too heavy handed and caused a tattoo blowout! Now I have to go somewhere else to get the blowout covered by someone that knows what they are doing. I was really hoping to make this artist my new go to guy, but now Ill never go back to the shop, and I suggest you dont either! Pay a little more for quality work

My experience was by far the best I could ask for. The professonial atmosphere at this studio is hands down the best. After my situation with a former employee pricing me a tattoo and scheduling it, I showed up to the shop to find out they were let go. This former employee planned to do it out of their home and I didnt know that nor was I comfortable. 22 caliber team came together to make an exceptional experience that Im forever grateful for. Not only an amazing tattoo they done for me, priced as the former employee gave me, but the customer service was outstanding. I will be back with no doubt and highly recommend anyone to go there. Theyre truly a blessing, they treat you like family the second you walk in the door.

I called on my birthday to see if artists were available and was told that 10-12 artists were available. 2 hours later we came in and were told that no artists were available. I was instructed to come back 90 minutes later (leaving my name and number). I took my friends and family to dinner and came back 90 minutes later. I was asked to sit and be patient. One of the counter personnel went to their "top" artist to see if I could be fit in. The "top" artist looked at me with a sour look and said something to his worker and the worker stated that it would not happen today. I wasted 3 1/2 hours around this place doing nothing, but dealing with crappy customer service. Thanks guys for a great birthday.

Worst expierence ever ive never had any issues with any other tattoo shop. They was doing the buy so much get double so i spent 75$ for 150$ gift card only to be told you have to schedule an. Appt to even use the g/c okay so i scheduled mine for the next day after going in " scotti pierce" said he would do it next day gave me his number acted like he didnt even wanna Do it so i texted him next day confirming my appt with no reaponse he didnt even come in that day. I just decided to give away my gift card and will never again go here and i dont recommend you do either unless you wanna feel like a problem to the emplyees. Wasted 75$ on this place!!
