I am beyond thrilled with thus bakery. The cakes taste very good and look great but mainly the customer service. I get my sons birthday cakes there ever year this year I couldnt get my order in and went somewhere else. The other place called me today day of party and said they couldnt make the cake they messed up the pick up date. So I called the cake shop and begged if I could get even a little single serving cake with basic decorations since its only 7 hours before the party I didnt expect a custom cake. But they went ahead and squeezed my order in and customized the cake with my 6 year Olds favorite cartoon characters he is going to die when he sees this cake. The cake shop saved the day! And saved a 6 year Olds birthday party! Thank you soooo much! Will never go anywhere else!

My aunt bought me a cake to celebrate my college graduation hearing good things about this place. First off, they spelled my name wrong even though its only 4 letters and one of the easiest names in the world (and according to my aunt, went over the name multiple times with the person on the phone). Secondly, the cake was BONE. DRY. Thirdly, my aunt confronted the manager about these petty mistakes and the manager admitted seeing the cake overcook and not do anything. She also brushed it off by saying it was only my graduation, like its no big deal. Sure, maybe it isnt a big deal. So I guess its also not a big deal if I share this review suggesting to people that maybe its best to spend their money elsewhere.

We ordered a custom birthday cake for my Fathers 50th Birthday. The cake was a 3D cut-out/replica of his police cruiser. It was absolutely amazing! The details were right on and it tasted great too! My only suggestion for The Cake Shop is when customers are ordering 2 different flavors it might be wise to totally separate each flavor. We ordered chocolate and vanilla and the cakes were stacked making it impossible to separate slices into just one flavor. Guests got half and half whether they liked both or not. Luckily there were no food allergies or people who strongly opposed one flavor vs. another. Guests complimented the cakes design and flavor. Thanks for a great cake! :)

Worst cake ever in my whole life! I ordered a cake for my husbands birthday, the cake decor was very mean to me, they overcharged me too ( I ordered a small 1 layer cake for 4 people with a disgusting decoration for $79 dollars)!!! The only decoration I asked for was a nice Mickey mouse, and it turned out the Mickey just had a head outline without anything else, and the color look so fake. I believe my 5 years old nephew can draw a much better pic than this so called professional. The cake tadted very dry and not fresh. My birthday is coming and I told my husband that please please please dont order me a cake here! Because I dont want to be robbed again!!!!!!

First, I really didnt want to go here, they have been rude and unfriendly in the past and their cakes lack anything that resembles moisture so havent been here is years. BUT I needed a Darth Vador cake. As expected, the cake was dry and the decorating could have been done by my 8year old. Nothing impressive. really. I was surprised to see they made the shape of his helmet, but that was it. For the high price I paid I EXPECTED more, more demension.more something. Put a little effort in it. Then they did a Death Star individual size cake, That too was a disappointment.. just grey with ONE black strip, they could have DONE more. WE WILL NOT BE BACK.

My sister is getting married in a few weeks, and decided to check out The Cake Shop. She told them she would like to keep her options open. Unfortunately, her event planner didnt get that memo, and placed a $50.00 deposit on a cake that my sister didnt even want. When my sister called The cake Shop to straighten things out and explain to them that she did not wish to place an order, she was told that they were KEEPING her $50.00. She has no cake from them, and she will not be getting a cake from them. It must be nice to make a quick $50.00 without having to make a cake!

Last summer I was scrambling to get my boyfriends birthday party put together, and the place I purchased the cake (not the Cake S hop) had totally botched it and didnt put the decorations I wanted on the cake. It was 4 hours to the party, and I was so stressed! When I called the Cake Shop and explained my situation, they were so friendly and understanding and printed out an edible decal to put on my cake (an ice cream cake) and even told me how to put it on there. They certainly saved my day! Now, I am not going anywhere else - talk about great customer service!!

Terrible. My daughter decided not to go with them but because of a miscommunication, her planner placed a 50 dollar deposit. They did no work but kept her money. They wouldn't even let her put it towards another cake. This is not the type of business we need in our community. We are calling the BBB to complain. I do not reconmend them. In fact, I will go out of my way to pass on there poor business dealings. Update: 4/26/12 The Cake Shop is refunding the deposit. Thank you to the person at The Cake Shop that handled this situation.

Whats not to love about this place? The smell of wonderful sugary goodness slaps you right in the face, as soft as a feather of course, right as you walk in. The cakes are as moist the Ohio ground right now with all of the rain weve been having, which is pretty moist, which is wonderful. The banana split cupcakes are 110% the most amazing thing Ive ever had the pleasure of putting in my mouth. The strawberry icing on them is to die for. Beautiful cakes, delicious treats and cookies, A+ for The Cake Shop.

Ive had three cakes from the cake shop in the last two months (at least) plus pecan bars, cupcakes, cookies and petit fours - all delicious. I even picked up an 8 inch frosted chocolate cake and froze it for a later occasion. When we used it weeks later it was still fresh and moist. The decorations stayed perfect. Ive taken several Cake Shop cakes to work and they are always gone in a flash. I love the Cake Shop. Give it a try.

Id like to start by saying that it is clear that customer service is a big priority at The Cake Shop. The staff and management are always pleasant to interact with. Couple that with delicious, fresh treats and carefully designed and decorated cakes, and The Cake Shop has established itself as my bakery of choice. I also got my wedding cake from The Cake Shop and it was exactly what I had envisioned. Thanks for being awesome!!

I dont know all the facts but I do know I have lived in Beavercreek my whole life and tried every Cake around.When the Cake shop opened we were done going anywhere else .They have the nicest staff and the very best buttercream Icing in the world .I go there for everything from Birthdays to Weddings to just buying a Customer a desert tray. Perfect every time!!! thank you Cake shop you are the best in town
