I have visited this store three times this week. As a new home owner, and a curious person, I couldnt believe how helpful and friendly the staff were. I had to be guided through the stores layout as it is much different from other Home Depot layouts. I also had multiple employees volunteer their help to guide me to the product I was searching for (as I have yet to know the store). Today I had to purchase a wet/dry vac and its accessories thanks to some minor flooding in my basement. Once I got home I discovered on e of the attachments I bought was the wrong size (a size I could not have known without looking at the manual). So, I brought the manual and the attachment back to exchange it for the proper size. The entire customer service area was in what seemed to be melee. Employees were advising customers that the return system was not responding, and that they were looking into it (as they obviously were). At least three employees were actively manning the returns counter during this time. One woman, I could tell, was unfortunately in the middle of a return when the system had crashed. The employees were handling the situation splendidly, as were the obviously dismayed customers. I just had a simple exchange, and even though their system was down, and I lost a dollar on the transaction, I was MORE than happy to be getting the piece that FIT my vac. Im more than pleased with this store as it has delighted me thus far. I am proud to shop there and will keep my business with them as they are truly a remarkable team.

Purchased all new kitchen appliances, new ge refrigerator, oven, dish washer and microwave. Appliances delivered damaged except stove. Refrigerator scratched, dishwasher scratched and the microwave doesnt even work! It wont shut off. Spoke to the manager dean who lied right through his teeth telling me it would all be fixed today. New fridge door, new microwave and a new dishwasher. Well here we are today supposed to only get a new microwave.. Dish washer maybe next week? Maybe the door too? Some other company is calling telling me they want to pick up the dish washer without bringing me a new one?? Called dean four times yesterday left messages.. No returned calls and he was there until 7. Spoke with store manager Brett was supposed to call me back this morning.. No calls. What a place to go spend over 3000 dollars and get absolutely 0 customer service. They act like k am the hassle. Who is going to pay for all the days of work I have to miss to be there during a 4 hour window for deliver. Absolute crap. I dont know how a place like this stays in business. Avoid this store at all costs, they dont care a bit about there customers!!

Customer service is terrible. Go to Lowes instead. I bought 2year replacement warranty on Milwaukee power tools, we start having problems with it on year two- the first suggestion from their customer service was- go tool tool rental to see if they can fix it... Went to tool rental, the tools center guy said we cant fix it and besides you have replacement warranty they should just replace it... Went back to service desk- 2nd suggestion- go contact Milwaukee they will take care of it... ( I have to remind them its year 2 and manf warranty covers 1st year only), third (3)suggestion we cant replace it- we dont have the exact combination in one package... I said I dont care you you miss match them as long as they are same I can take it and use it. He called the manager of the store the suggestion from manager was- call 1800-homedepot.... That was my 1hr interaction on my day off with Home Depot.... Note to self- NEVER buy HOME DEPOT extended warranty- they will send you through loops.

About a week before Christmas 2011 I sent a friend to go shopping at Schenectady Home Depot using my Home Depot Commerical Charge card. They purchase items neccesary to finish small job ( electrical and plumbing parts). They forgot something and went in the store leaving a paid for shopping cart next to pro desk cashier ( the cart never left the store or even went into the vestabule). When they stop to get the cart it was not inside but push out side and missing almost all of which was bought. The store video shows someone taking stuff out of cart. and putting it in there cart. I was told this was my problem not theirs. I have spent over $100,000. in last four years and will not shop at Home Depot Again, I called police and they told me this was common there. So I guess if you shop ther be prepared to be robbed or have stuff taking out of your truck. Store manager was to busy or not concerned to talk to me.

This is the worst Home Depot I have ever been to on more than one occasion. Save time and a hassle, visit a different store if you value your time. They consistently do not have stock in place and you have to wait for them to pull it. The customer service is also terrible, and they are clueless about their respective departments. Do yourself a favor and go to any other store in the area, its amazing this home depot is still in business. Good luck!

Ive recently begun shopping at The Home Depot. Whether its batteries, blinds, or some other household item, they seem to have just about everything. The store is expansive, but despite its imposing size, it is well laid out and things are not difficult to find. If help or assistance are needed, the store associates are close by to render assistance. I find The Home Depot truly amazing. Simply put, shopping at The Home Depot is a fun experience.

Disappointing visit to HD. Had purchased an American Standard toilet there several years ago. It takes smaller diameter tank-to-bowl bolts that normal. They dont carry them. They do not carry the supplies to support the product they sell. Maybe the idea is to get the consumer to replace the toilet rather than repair it? I hope not! Would rather believe it is incompetence than an intentional ripoff. Disappointing either way though.

This store has poor service about 75% of the time their employees are polite but not helpful. The inventory and over all organization of the store are also sub par. I am a contractor and have traveled extensively for work I have visited 40 plus other Home Depot locations and never had the bad experiences that I continually have at this location. You are better off driving to another location to save yourself the hassle and disappointment.

I usually goto Lowes (experience much better service), but home depot had the same product in-stock. I paid online my wife went to the store to pick it up. They gave her an open boxed item, that was sealed up again. The associate assured her it was ok. When I opened at our house product was dented, and missing a ton of parts. Why did they even place it back in inventory...i dont know

Dont expect help in most departments on weekends, I waited 40 minutes for somebody to cut some plywood. Even after being paged 3 times by the service desk and asking several employees, nobody came over so I left without purchasing anything. On two occasions I was given a refund in the form of only store credit even with valid receipt. Lousy company.
