Theyve gone downhill, they have no competition since Hartsdale Fabrics closed. I find myself going to Paramus and Riverdale NJ when I must go to Joann. Scarsdale has one cashier that you call tell frustrates the heck out of the other cashiers with her incompetence. She will tell you she cant scan a coupon in and then say "I dont know" when you ask her why. She refused to scan my $15 off of a purchase of $75 once. I was livid. I didnt notice till I got home because she pretended to scan it! Last time I got stuck with her I asked for the manager and he rolled his eyes at me and ignored me. Another cashier that had been there for years cane over and took the coupon from miss incompetence and scanned it and walked away. Today, I asked at the cutting counter if they had a particular fabric in another color because I had already spent 20mins looking. Two people at the cutting table standing and talking and I am repeating "excuse me" several times before they notice me. She refused to look in the system, online, or anything. I was gonna a buy the whole bolt! I have a bunch of costumes to make and the fabric was $16.99/yard. I got an attitude when I asked and the classic, "if you didnt see it we dont have it". Well, at Paramus, they look it up and ask me if I want them to order it for me. Once the fabric wasnt on the shelf and the guy looked it up in the system and found it in the store somewhere else. I appreciate Paramus! I need to stop going to Scarsdale just cuz it is closer. Also, Joann in general is severely lacking in all the popular knots and athleisure and performance fabrics. They need to get on that already.

Lara Drads

Never in my life have I shopped somewhere that did not care about their customers. I ordered fabric online paid 30 extra dollars to have it expressed shipped in 2-3 days on a Sunday. Come Thursday the fabric hadnt even been shipped even after calling 3 times with no help. I cancelled the order and just decided to drive an hour away to the JoAnns that had the fabric I ordered originally. I get to the store waited in the cutting fabric line to then be told it was up front, even after being told on the phone it would be waiting for me in the cutting fabric area. I go up front to see that it wasnt even the right fabric. I finally find the fabric i needed on my own, go back to the lady cutting the fabric for her to tell me I might have to get back in a line I already waited in. Thank for the help JoAnns never shopping here again.

Lu Ann at Jo-Anns Fabrics is fantastic. I went into the store on Sunday to shop for a new hobby and thought I would try needlepoint. Since this is new for me I wasnt sure what was available, etc.. Lu Ann was the perfect one to help; courteous, friendly, extremely knowledgeable, took the time to aid in me finding the right 1st project and made it so simple to decide between my choices. Looking forward shopping here again and starting my first needlepoint. Thanks again Lu Ann.

Awesome...but, the workers dont seem to know where things are. I asked 4 workers where the alcohol markers were and they all told me they were in different places. The last worker I asked said they were sold out and to go to a Michaels 3 miles away.....there was no Michaels. Other then that, its D.I.Y heaven. Its affordable. It has a variety of items. I would definitely go there next time I need crafting supplies.

The only local place to go for fabric. There is a huge selection. Arts & craft section is often messy, but there is a lot. Prices are higher than ac moores and Michaels. Staff not too helpful except for the fabric Dept, but there are only two and its a long wait. Park at the TOP FLOOR area and enter directly into the store. Lines are often ridiculously long.

They have almost everything your looking for to finish your projects, or costume or new season designs. I went with my tailor and she went crazy in that store she loved it, and I loved the fact that my creation will look hot.
