It occurred to me today that NYX is the Forever 21 of cosmetics. Bold, new colors, cheap prices on most of their makeup and to top it off the store appears to have everything that say another national beauty store would carry. This is my only problem. Im well past the temporary stage, and rarely need makeup for just an event. While I was pleased with their selection I found that most of the makeup I purchased is sort of inferior to say something I purchased from one of the big girls, like Sep*** or Ma*. Not a biggie but when I put on lipstick I dont really expect to refresh my lips within the first hour, but with NYX cosmetics thats what you end up doing. Will I shop here again?? YES!!!! Just remember that you pay for what you get.

The sales associate is so rude and didnt smile. I asked for eyelash glue and she me a brand that wasnt NYX it was a white tube and was randomly there. Also they were not as helpful I asked for a lipstick shade that was on display one of the associate led me to where they kept all the lipsticks and gave me the wrong color I noticed it after my purchased. I was so upset Im not shopping here again I traveled 2 hours only to get the wrong products and bad service. Your best bet is to shop online they always have promotions I wasnt informed of one in store and I spent $60 when I couldve spent a fraction.

I entered the store on Black Friday, so I knew that it would be busy. I didnt mind. I had to restart my makeup collection, so I had no makeup on my face. I saw the manager walk by and I saw him look at me up and down and smirk in a way that made me very angry. I wouldve given this store more stars, but the way that the manager acted was unprofessional and frankly really disappointing. I really do love the other store workers there, but they didnt think that I would buy anything or buy much because of how I looked.

Crowded with much floorspace given to unused "movie theater" area and utilitarian makeup desk -- Starbucks vacated this space to save money, rent must be a zillion dollars and yet it has the feeling of what corporate calls a "loss leader" at whatever fashion behmoth owns NYX, a store that has to lose money all day but exist merely to say they have a store in Union Square, in New York, la di da.

The service was terrible. I went with 2 of my friends and we were there for about 30 minutes... not ONE time did any of the staff greet us or ask us if we needed assistance. However their security guard followed us around the store! I am a professional makeup artist and NYX is not the cream of the crop for me to be followed like that in a store thats not that big in size. Very disappointing...

Has all the products, even ones in unpopular colors you normally have to order on line. Staff is very helpful without being overbearing. I got product recommendations and makeup tips. The store is pretty small and packed with people, so its tricky to navigate with a big bag. They also offer personalized makeup lessons!

Well organized and everyone is helpful including the security guard. Great return policy and a pretty amazing selection. Great for when you dont want to spend a lot of money in a place like Sephora but still get great products or to try the new trends.
