CHEAP PRODUCT CHEAPLY MADE never ever buy Ashley furniture no matter how good the product may look or the deal may sound, I thought I was dealing with a genuine furniture company only to realize I was not. While passing by an Ashley store in New Rochelle we thought of doing some window shopping and ended up buying two sofas though we already had a beautiful leather sofa set, the sales person one Mr. Cruz Mendez who was an excellent person very professional and helpful who closed the deal he even sold us on the extra 5 year warranty making a special mention that ASHLEY FURNITURE STANDS BEHIND ALL ITS PRODUCT. As we did not need the sofas right away we stored them in our basement for nearly five to six months when we were getting guests visiting from India we brought the sofas to the living room, to cut the story short the sofas were nothing but a cheap product every time one sat on it the lumber of the frame would start creaking and the seats would come out of its place, this would happen even if my three year old grandchild sat on it the creaking was bearable but the shifting of the seats was a pain, every time anyone sat on it the seats would move out of its place a sheer embarrassment in front of guests one of them even commented “this is what happens when you buy cheap stuff from cheap outfits GO OUT AND BUY SOME REAL FURNITURE” I called up and complained at the store Mr. Mendez being a professional he apologized for the inconvenience and told me to call the warranty number when I called them I was told the complain of mine is not covered as that sounds like a manufacturing defect and that I should call the company customer service or the store, since I had tried the latter I called the Customer service and after many back and forth questioning with different individuals on several occasions I was told to take Velcro and stick it on the seat and the frame which sounded ridiculous to me after having purchased the sofas and being told that the company stands behind its product is this what they really meant USING VELCRO? When I insisted for a solution to this problem I was told by one of the CS ladies they have had several similar complaints when I told her to send me an e-mail to referring to what she had just told me she said she would but that e-mail never came. I called up Mr. Mendez again and he sounded genuinely concerned but I do not think the sales people have any leverage at the store level. I had given up on the whole sofa issue as a foolish decision where I was stupid to buy without doing my home work when one of my guests who visited my house recently and who experienced the problem first suggested that I should put the issue in the store reviews so that other people do not fall into the same trap I did. Remember I started my complains within the first six seven months of my purchase and now have been living with it for 2 years I even invited Mr. Mendez to visit my house an see the problem first hand but that did not happen (maybe company policy). But in short stay away from Ashley furniture the furniture stinks their customer support stinks (not at all professional - very rude – talking down at you attitude) the only silver lining are the sales people but that I think goes with the territory. ASHLEY STORE I AM SORRY I VISITED YOU.

The store itself has a very friendly staff. Although at times you can feel like their time is not totally being dedicated to you because they do have to tend to other clients. If this was a department store where people are buying multiple items like shirts and pants, then thats acceptable. However youre committing to spending thousands of dollars, so they can commit to spending a little more time. I loved my furniture after I finally got it. I was initially impressed when I was going to get my furniture in just a week. To save you from the long story, there was a ton of miscommunication on their part and half of my items were on backorder which I wasnt informed of until after they ran my credit, started a credit line, and charged me for the furniture. I got my bed and the fireplace in a week and the other pieces of furniture came nearly 2-3 weeks later. What I found most unpleasant is that this store failed to do a follow up call or email to see how my experience or delivery was. The shipment center did some of the work in trying to keep me updated. However, I had to do most of the investigative work to figure out what was going on with my furniture. Although expensive, Macys makes it protocol that employees follow up with their clients that make big ticket purchases (I used to work for Macys and if youre not getting a call then its a problem). The follow-up goes along way and helps customers feel they made the right decision in purchasing an expensive item. I wont take away from the friendly manner in which they greet you. At the end it felt as if maybe they were just trying to close the sale and not being genuine with their intentions. I know Im buying furniture, not going on a date; however I still feel like some trust was lost.

Ordered the Hogan Sectional. After it was delivered we noticed the chaise was uneven. Their repair guy came & he showed me the inside was all cracked. He said it must have been dropped in shipping. After waiting a month they sent a new one, which I had to refuse because it was also cracked inside where the legs attach. I have since refused 2 more, one was ripped because they dragged it on the sidewalk & the next one had glue on the arm. The delivery guy who brought the last chaise with the glue on it took his fingernail to scrape off the glue, leaving a big grease stain because his hands were dirty & then got angry with me for refusing it and actually threatened me in my house. I have to wait 3-4 weeks between replacements and have now owned my set with a chaise that has a cracked frame for almost 4 months. I had an Ashley durapella couch for years & it was good. But their new stuff is all flake-board inside & breaks very easy. The quality is definitely worse nowadays & the sectional pieces do not line up properly. I am not a crazy person & am very reasonable, I just want what I paid for. The store wont deal with me after they got my money, I have to deal with Ashley directly. I could have saved $600 in price & taxes by buying online. There was absolutely no advantage from buying in-store. I will never buy Ashley again.

I wont recommend for sure this Ashley Furniture HomeStore to anybody. I went yesterday to this store and I was willing to buy many fournitures (Sofabed, bed set, dining table...) Unfortunately it was one of the worse experience Id ever had in my life. Easy to explain: I was dealing with one of their sales persons her name was Trina. She was so professional and did all what she could do to conclude the business. As part of her efforts to help me out getting a good deal she proposed me to call her manager "George" (which has more authority) in order to find out what he could do for me. Unfortunately he was so rude when he came to me and just stated that he couldt do anything for me. I didnt feel any effort from his side trying first to understand what are my needs, and second do whatever possible to conclude business matching my needs and possibilities with store offers and requirements. This is what I qualify as a good "CUSTOMER CARE". What is the need for any sales manager to come to customers if he/she just states that he cannot do any thing for Clients without showing and making any effort to help customers? Lastly, because of this manager "George" I decided to shift to another Brand Store. I wont recommend at all this Ashley Furniture Homestore.
