I needed a new air conditioner for my living room. I went to the store in New Hyde Park, NY. The manager, Mike, spent a lot of time with me helping me to understand what would be the best for my situation. He gave me suggestions, wrote down model numbers and I went home to do some research. I went back the next day and Mike was unavailable, so Sharon helped me to make my purchase. She honored the price that Mike had given me, and made the transaction quick and easy. Based on Mike and Sharons guidance, I purchased a 12,000 BTU Frieddrich unit. I was able to set up my delivery date for Sunday, so that I didnt have to take off from work. The driver contacted me on schedule and even showed up earlier than I expected. Joseph and his assistant did a great job on the installation. I was so glad I paid for this service because it was very involved and I wouldnt have been able to do it myself. The install went fast; they were respectful and courteous and cleaned up after they were done. This A/C is perfect! It cools my apartment quickly and is so much quieter than my old unit. I am so relieved that this whole process went smoothly. The entire transaction, from purchase to install, was handled professionally with great courtesy. I have nothing but complete faith in the staff of PC Richards. Thank you so very much!

I bought an almost $5k kitchen appliance package ( Samsung Ref, GE profile oven, GE profile convection oven, GE dishwasher) from salesman Herman who is nice and helpful. I did not buy installation package because I am still renovating my kitchen. With my almost $5k purchase, I was expecting a free delivery, but I was charged $85 delivery fee. Upon delivery, the delivery man just dump all the appliances in my kitchen. I asked him if he can attach the refrigerator handles into the ref and he rudely replied that it is not included in the delivery package for him to screw the handles into the refrigerator. I then asked him if he can at least remove the dishwasher and microwave from the boxes, and he replied and I quote "what do you expect from a $50 delivery fee?". He then reluctantly removed the dishwasher ( not the microwave) from the box and left the box in my dining room. I thanked him for removing the dishwasher from the box and he replied and I quote "Thank you can only do so much!". He stood there waiting for tip. I was so upset at him that I did not give him any tip. By the way, he left a deep scratch (from his trolley) in my hardwood floor by the foyer of my house. What an experience from hell!

My wife and I recently ordered a clothes dryer from the New Hyde Park store. Our experience included many hours delay in delivery time, a service person who hung up the phone when I called for a status, and other and other unpleasantness. I lost a vacation day to be home for the delivery, dealt with a rude and unpleasant service person for much of it, and spent about 45 minutes calling various people at your New Hyde Park store to report what happened and to cancel our order. And I was transferred to their customer service line who advised, since it was now past close of business on Friday, that I would get a follow-up call on Monday. I never got a call. The one positive exception were managers Patrick and Kenny (sorry, don’t have last names) at NHP who at least listened sympathetically and offered a break on delivery charges if we re-scheduled. I do not often write “letters” like this ... who has the time? But this was a particularly upsetting experience and I want prospective customers to know about it. We have shopped at P.C. Richard for a number of years. It is unlikely we will ever shop there again. I welcome them to tell me why I should not feel this way?

We have purchased appliances here for decades. Bought a new clothes dryer. they installed it incorrectly and scratched up the front door removing the old one. they returned and "fixed" the vent problem. 2 loads later, theres a vent error again. Made an appointment for 9-12. the confirmation message says my appointment is 9-1pm. that is NOT what they told me. Called the store 4x and let it ring 10x each time before someone answered the ringing phone. The guy who answered told me service appointments are 3 hour windows. no explanation for why mine is suddenly 4 hours. Service guy showed up at 12:45 and told me my appointment was 9-1, no apology for the bait and switch. he didnt fix it, he said the samsung model they sold us basically sucks because it has an internal thermostat that turns off the heat if the vent is a little clogged. hes going to have them replace it. meanwhile i can use it but only on using the settings on the left side of the dial. meanwhile the vent wasnt clogged, its short, and it was only used twice. ABSURD. They lost a long-time customer.

Well after 28 years of wonderful service our Whirlpool refrig went to the big Whirlpool heaven in the sky. My wife looked on line and found just what she wanted it had to be a Whirlpool again. So off we went to P.C. Richards.our sales person was Hector we could not see the unit we wanted because it was not on the sales floor Hector went out of his way to show us the unit on line and answered all our questions. It had to be no more then 65,5 in heigh he called the astiant manager over Mike and we all talked about it both Mike and Hector said it would be fine. We had it delivered this morning ( Sunday) and those men were very nice also they were very careful with our new unit. My wife loves our new Whirlpool it is so quiet you dont even know it is on.It was a pleasure dealing with Hector and Mike also the delivery people. P. C. Richard@ Son is the only place we would buy a appliance from. Heres hopeing this new Refrig will last 28 years however i dont think i will Thanks again Mike andHector

What a wonderful experience to be able to go to P.C. Richards in New Hyde Park and deal with Rob Silverman. We have dealt with Rob in the past. I gave a call last night to make sure he would be in today because we have been needing a new dishwasher. He told me they were opening early today so their sales people could go home an hour early to catch the Superbowl. How awesome is that! P.C. Richards standing by their "Family First" reputation just like they did throughout the holiday season. We have been wanting to switch over to stainless steel for quite a while now. Rob was able to give us a phenomenal deal on the Frigidare Professional Series dishwasher, stove and refrigerator! Needless to say by the end of the transaction, he actually felt like family. His is so thorough and knowledgable about what he is selling we didnt second guess our purchase at all! Thanks Rob and P.C. Richards for still being the place we can go and trust for our appliances!
