Owner and co owner were both extremely pushy to try to sell their flowers and overcharged me ,when a second customer came in after me and purchased the same flowers they gave him a much lower price when he asked how much they cost, then were rude to me when i said something about it. i was also a witness to a young man coming in and saying his flowers had died after purchasing them the night before ,the owner simply told him it was his fault and she couldnt do anything for him she then pulled him to the side and told him she was going to call the POLICE if he didnt leave the store i will also add he was not rude or confrontational he was simply asking what she could do for him he even said he didnt want a refund which i no alot of businesses dont like doing ,but i must say what horrible customer service who would threaten a customer with calling the police when he wasnt being loud or threatening at all he was calm and asking for some kind customer service. I would assume a florist only problem would be the flowers they sell dying fast and she had no response or help for that one problem. After witnessing that ontop of my own issue with rudeness from the owner I URGE PEOPLE TO NOT SHOP HERE AND SUPPORT THIS KIND OF BUSINESS YOU DO NOT TREAT PEOPLE THAT WAY LEARN HOW TO RUN A BUSINESS ESPECIALLY BEING THE OWNER AND ACTING THAT WAY-

Found this florist on line and called long distance to order a nice funeral arrangement for a family member. This was not a cheap order at close to $90. Being in Florida we were not in attendence for the services but heard from family members in New Hyde Park that in our arrangment there were several damaged and broken flowers. When we called to complaint the response from "Jennifer" was "what do you expect me to do about it"? Not only an obviously poor business women but an insensative one as well. Would suggest anyone BUT this florist for your flower needs in the New Hyde Park area

We used another area florist recommended by this same funeral home when her husband passed last year and the arrangement was cheap looking and ugly. The one you delivered on our behalf was lovely and obviously created with great care and did honor to our loved one. Thank you so much. I met with Jennifer and ordered 3 very simple bouquets as well as a number of corsages. I even detached the strap to my handbag so that she could match the ribbon color to the color of my dress and accessories. Not only were the flowers awful looking and not the colors I requested, the ribbon didnt match and she never even bothered to return the strap to my clutch bag. I was so embarrassed by my bridal bouquet that I left it on a table out of sight for the whole evening.

This was my third time using Hillside Florist. I was just as pleased this time as I was the first two times. Jennifer did a beautiful job creating an arrangement that represented exactaly what my sister and I were feeling during our time of loss. We recieved so many complements from our guests. We just had our daughters 18th birthday party at The Inn at New Hyde Park on Oct.4th. I ordered my centerpieces and corsages from Jennifer and they were amazing. I admit I was a little hesitant at first to even go to her shop not knowing what to expect, but Im so glad I gave her a try. Called 8/11/16 asking if they were open Sunday 8/14/16 and if they were what time they opened. Someone over the phone told me that they open at 10am. Went there on Sunday around 10:35am and the place was closed. Was going to a funeral and had to rush over to 1-800 Flowers to grab what I needed. Needless to say to that I am never coming back. Also dont depend on this place
