Terrible place. Seafood department part time clerk sold me a lb of so called fresh salmon fillet. Came home it smelled really bad, was brown and bad looking. Was in a rush so I had asked him to put together something without the tail, as I went to get some other groceries. Came home found that it was the tail. But to mention, charged me for the more expensive sockeye salmon fillet. When I came back to return it they gave me an attitude claiming that you cant return something thats already bad. Finally got the manager to talk to me, she took it back and got my money back, however when we spoke to the clerk he said that he didnt know I wanted no tail when I told him and he didnt how fresh it was since its supposed to be fresh but he didnt know how long it was in the case for so he assumed it was good. Then I came back the next morning to complain to the full time seafood clerk that he didnt do a good job teaching his part timer about how long its good for etc. some basics he shouldve known for, he claims that he knew about it since hes work here for a year, but hes full of lies he just never taught the kid how to do anything. Worst experience ever, never going here again. Recommend not going there. Instead go to the one in Wyckoff NJ

The store is convenient to me for location and assortment of food....My gripe is primarily about the prima-donnas that find it necessary to park in the firezone along the curb at the store entrances despite the no parking/no standing signs posted in that area. It is simple enough to drop someone off, then pull into a regular parking space until the person you are waiting for comes back out of the store instead of sitting at the curb in front of the entrances waiting 5 or 10 minutes clogging up traffic....I have even encountered people blocking the sidewalk entrance ramp so that you have to jump the curb with the cart to get to the doorway. Traffic is always snarled up coming into the parking lot because of cars parked in tbe firezone, creating a bottleneck for traffic flow.

They need to tune up checkout. They have opted for more self-check lanes and very few humans. My last visit, there was an issue on virtually every item I scanned. This time, I went human and my ice cream got soft waiting for a price check for the customer ahead of me. Chances are running out before I run to another option.

I dont agree with the last review about S&S having bad food and meat. It is always excellent. I have been going to Nanuet S&S for 10 yrs now. It is one of the cheapest supermarkets I have ever been 2. The staff are really friendly. Its a pleasure to shop there. Jackie Carle. 8-)

I like the layout of this S&S it is easy to navigate. I think its great that they have a Organic section. The prices arent super expensive they are average and comparable to other S&S I think. The location is great and its not super packed like other locations. Very enjoyable.

This is the most run down, outdated Stop and Shop in the area. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Bottle depository reeks of beer ALL THE TIME and floors are usually icky and sticky....watch the dates on dairy...produce department is always well stocked and delightful.

One of the worst and most expensive Stop n Shops Ive been to. The vegetables are going bad, the meat is atrocious, and the prices are the highest Ive paid yet. Researching for better supermarkets to go to in the area. Im never going back to this one.

Expect long lines and stay away after 9pm, as they only have one cashier open and they shut down half the self checkouts . Fairway is much quicker.
