My daughters guinea pig died, so when she was ready, we went to buy another one. We ended up buying two sisters who seemed to get along. Well, one of them died within the two week "return period". My daughter was in shock, and was extremly upset as she lost two guinea pigs in three short weeks. We called the pet smart hotline, where they told us to bring the body of the pig, to the store, and they will glady give us another one, nicely. When we got to the store, the people told us we didnt bring the "right" receipt, which stated the date we bought it, and what we bought, and they wouldnt give us another one. They told us to not come back until we had the right receipt. We went back to get our replaced guinea pig, but i havent stepped foot in that store since, and dont plan on it any time soon. ILL PAY A FEW EXTRA BUCKS AND TAKE MY BUSINESS TO PETCO.

Are you effing kidding me? Its 12 oclock in the afternoon… I walk in. And there is one person working the cash register, and one guy walking around with a clipboard. I asked if anybody was working in the small animal section. The woman replied yes to. I told her I didnt need help but that all of the lights were off in the animal cages. Her answer was… Wait for it… " they are sleeping "... are used to work for Petsmart. And I work there because I felt bad for how poorly the animals were treated. This company does not teach their employees a damn thing about how to take care of the animals or even just how to work in the store. I am a palled at the lax attitude and poor work ethic at this company continues to promote. Please get your animals pet supplies and everything else at locally owned pet stores who actually give a damn

I purchased a tortoise for my daughter and was told it was a baby. It is absolutely an adult. Also the girl that sold him to me stated because of his age the tortoise cant be sexed.again he is an adult male, many years old...also on his paper work the girl only wrote tosedo tortoise,...so I have no idea if he is Russian or Greek, if your employees are not educated on the animals they are selling to the public then they have no business doing so. I would never want to buy an animal from you again nor will I allow any family or friends....in fear they will not be purchasing what they think. This is incompetence in your employees in which reflects directly on management.

Not a big fan at all of their grooming section! My boyfriend and I took our dog up there to get groomed with nails trimmed not even 10 minutes of leaving we get a call saying that her nail is cut " split " and it wont stop bleeding and have to take her to the emergency vet we get there and her nail is literally sideways and not even split down the middle luckily they paid for the vet bill unfortunately our dogs nail might grow back deformed or not at all! Long story short do not take your dog to pet smart over in clay to get nails cut or the same situation will happen to you more than likely!

Went in to get my dogs nails trimmed. Saw online that its a walk in style for this service, no appointment necessary which is what I wanted because I wasnt sure what time Id be able to get there. Walked in expecting at least a little wait because it is a Sunday. Walked out just after I finally talked to an employee because they needed proof that my dog has had a rabies shot. I dont have an issue with providing that if I know ahead of time but it didnt say anything about that on their website. No plans to return the for anything, Ill go elsewhere even if it costs a little more...

We got our guinea pigs and adopted our cats from the Cat coalition in this store. Cashiers are pretty good. One time we waited for 10 minutes to get some feeder fish because the employee stood there talking to another customer about their pets. I dont want to nag her for that but, you have to be able to balance politeness and getting work done so other customers arent standing and waiting for something that should take just a couple minutes. We have stopped going to this store because other places sell pet supplies for much cheaper.

I do not recommend for grooming. They were unable to remove my dogs collar. It was a martingale collar removed every day, so they cut it. Okay not the end of the world, I have a spare $15 collar since I have not been able to purchase these collars locally. I purchased a collar from the store to get him home. Once home, I realized they did not give me his tags still attached to his cut off collar. What a joke this place is. Find a local dog groomer that is responsible and knows pets.

BEWARE of buying fish here! I am a 20 year aquarium owner with 3 current tanks. I bought some catfish here and within days two of the new fish and half of my established 60 gallon tank died. I cant put my finger on what disease they must have brought with them as there are no identifying signs on them. All I can do now is watch my tank wither away and hope that some of my tiny family members survive. Will never shop there again.

We called and made an appointment to get our dog groomed and sat in the store for 45 minutes while several walk-ins went past us, far past our appointment time. They were extremely rude with us even after we were extremely polite about asking why people without appointments were continually being serviced before us 40 minutes past our appointment time. I do not suggest coming here if you expect good and timely service.

PetSmarts return policy is generous and their sales representatives are very helpful. I was able to return opened and lightly used pet food, and when purchasing a crate they price matched the much lower online price and charged us that amount (after allowing us to return a smaller crate which was already opened and had the tags removed).

My dog is fear aggressive with other dogs. I have to have him do the quick bath and groom. He always sees Amanda and Ive had no problems once he established that he knows her. He always comes back clean, nails trimmed and no marks on his body. She treats him with patience and I like that.

Went to buy my daughter a fish today, they refused me the sale because she only had a 10 gallon tank. She wanted a fricken feeder fish (17 cents) you sell them to other to feed their fish but wont sell me one because my tank is too small!!!!! If it dies it dies its 17 cents!! Idiot

Dont take your pet here for grooming. I recieved a lot of complaints of what they could not do as to shampooing my dog. My dogs are very anxious around people . However, they have been to groomers several times and this is the first one that could not complete the task.

We get our husky groomed here. The groomers seem to remember him each time and love him. They do a wonderful job brushing out all his undercoat and trimming his nails. I like to browse the store and pick up some treats while we wait.
