Okay so I finally made my way to the new Save-A-Lot in Herkimer for the first time today. Many of my friends have been suggesting that I check it out and try something new. Finally I decided to visit their website and scope out the company. I liked what I saw so I decided to give it a shot. First - the hours of operation are very convenient. I went in at 10am today and there wasnt a big crowd which is excellent because I do not like big crowds -- too much anxiety for all that. Second - the employees all demonstrated exceptional customer service. I tested them (kindly and fairly asking for a simple price check) and they went above and beyond to answer my questions with kindness and repect in a professional manner. Customer service was a 5 star experience and I value that. Third - The pricing is very, very good! Cheap, cost-effective, necessary for this district in this day and age. Well done! Fourth - Selection was great for basics. Great general selection. Fifth - Very well organized and well stocked! They werent out of anything! Important! 6th - Good parking lot. Not ridiculous to maneuver.

Similar to Aldis , a good substitute for Wal-Mart for a quick groceries stop. Store is not very big, but has a wide selection. Remember this store DOSE not provide bags. Bring your own bagging

Some stuff is okay. Some stuff is overpriced like cans. Got a week over expired milk 2 days ago a full gallon too... bread and pastries are always stale...

This place has low prices and brand name food. Some of the cashiers can be rough around the edges, but the customers are tough on them.
