I am in agreement that there is an illusion as shoppers perceive this store as being the "lowest price" in the market. Though they are generally competitive, their buying power based on volume provides them with some impressive margins on their sales. With generally aloof sales help, floor management (green shirts) unfocused on costumers needs, shouting and barking at their fellow co-workers and cashiers that dont seem to be able to grasp nor harness the simple phrase "Thank You" make this place ideal for those who could care less about the shopping atmosphere and building rapport and relationship with a business owner and staff but rater prefer the grab & go impersonal supermarket type of shopping experience. This is a strictly commercial operation.

It has been a year or 2 since i have been here but i do wan to warn young adults of shopping here! If you look younger then 21 they make you fill out some form saying that you are over 21. Then they make you write down your full name, drivers licence number, address, and phone number. I dont know about you but i dont want to give this info out to a liquor store. You can make a good fake ID for ID theft with all of that info. If you are afraid of selling to underage go take an ID class. I am sure the cops will do it for free. Also you can get a scanner to make sure the ID is legit. I stopped shopping here because of this. I am over age and it is legal dont treat me like a criminal because i look young.

This place sucks you in with the illusion of cheap prices. Its a warehouse type atmosphere to make you think they are a bargain basement type of place. The truth is their prices really arent any cheaper for beer, wine or spirits. The "cold" beer is always warm, because their cooler isnt big enough to handle the volume they do and the parking lot is a complete nightmare! I went here for almost a year regularly, before I realized I could find the same products at virtually the same price, closer to home with MUCH more friendly service. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague! There is even a place a few buildings before it on 17 next to the Sleepys.

The prices are fair, and its one of the largest liquor stores in the area. When I was looking for Hudson Baby Bourbon Whiskey, the other stores in the area that I called laughed at me over the phone. Bottle King told me that they had a few bottles in stock and held them for me at the register, and on top of that, they were on sale! Dont waste your time, and try Bottle King first. As for prices, make sure you join their free club for the best prices. If you dont join, youll pay as much as you do in other stores. Shop there on holidays and weekends, and youll see how popular this store is by the traffic there.

One would be hard-pressed to find any other wine shop in the region that can beat their combination of wine selection and pricing. Regular visitors will have plenty of opportunities to discover low-production California wines that are rarely found in typical retail shops in the Eastern US, often at "just take my money" prices. French and Italian offerings are solid, and other regions (Spain, Australia, Germany) not without worthwhile representation. Very competitive pricing on liquor as well, and an impressive selection of cheeses and snacks to accompany ones beverage choices.

Bottle King is scamming customers. The wine point guide does not match the year when the wine was made. They are trying to trick the customer into thinking they are buying the wine that got the good rating. When in fact it was a complete different year. Between this and the raised beer prices. You can go anywhere now and get the same deal as bottle king.

Like any other "big box" concept store, if you dont know exactly what you want and where to find it, you may be there a while. Prices are generally lower than local/smaller shops, but so is the level of service. Staff used to be very helpful, but now just seem to mill about.
