Had a gun on consignment there, gun sold for less than I agreed to. I was by chance in earshot of two guys talking at a local shooting range. I overheard them talking about the owner of Centaur and one of them helped his get the business up and running. They seemed to know him very well and had very unflattering things (like how dishonest he is, how he sells consignments then calls seller and asks them for bottom dollar price and he pockets the consignment fee and difference in price between what it should net the seller and the sellers "new" lowered price). I also overheard them saying Weiner(owner) has been involved with two other FFL licensed dealers and ATF shut each of them down for shady dealings. Now they lost FFL again because the police said the owner was illegally modifying firearms to get higher prices from recent gun buy-backs. Thats directly screwing us taxpayers. Shouldnt be allowed to sell guns anymore

First of all Im a very experienced shooter its mostly all Im into and takes up all my free time so Ive been in plenty of gunshops. Alot of bigger gunshops have people who are working sales that have not got a clue what they are talking about. This can be bad and dangerous when purchasing a firearm or it could make you not enjoy shooting because you bought a gun that the guy at the gun store said was awesome and you shoot it and it has ridiculous recoil. The people who work at centaur are very knowledgeable and the owner Eric is a master gunsmith and there isnt much he cant do. This is my go to spot for all my gunsmithing work to be done and where I buy my guns.

Cool little gun shop, friendly and knowledgeable staff, good prices and unique selection for such a small shop. Its hard to find a good gun shop in south nj. They have at least one gunsmith on duty. It was busy when I was there, which to me signifies good prices and craftsmanship.

The finest gun shop in the area. Easy to get to and they can get pretty much anything you need. Cramp interior, but not bad at all. They will treat you right.

Hit or miss with staff sometimes they are helpful sometimes they are very short with you. Ammo appears old prices are kinda high
