These guys were great!!!!! Absolutely loved the service! Friendliness was a plus, and their portfolios were to notch! This place was also one of the cleanest tattoo shops I have ever been in and trust me, I have researched a ton lately! I was looking for a new spot to go to since I was new in the Roxbury area, and I stumbled upon Pure Ink. I read their last review made by some guy named Johnny Buttercakes and decided to go to Permanent Buzz instead. Big mistake. I dealt with some guy named Randy and he was the biggest unprofessional jerk with an ego I have ever met in a tattoo shop. On top of that, Permanent buzz was also dirty, and uncomfortable. My guess was that he was probably the one that wrote that review because immediately after I was given an outrageous price for the tattoo I wanted, I went over to Pure Ink just to see what they had to offer. I was blown away. This place had up to date touch screen computers that you could use to find any tattoo you wanted. Everyone there welcomed me at the door. The service was phenominal! And I got estimated less than half of what Permanent Buzz told me. I got tattooed that night, was drawn a custom tattoo on the spot, and even offered beverages while I waited and watched their big screen. I swear it almost felt like a spa! I am telling all my friends and family about Pure Ink. I have to comment on "Johnny Buttercakes" statement, where he says that the other reviews were friends of theirs. Friends or no friends; those reviews were spot on, and I highly recommend anyone that is looking for a tattoo, check out Pure Ink. I had no clue who these guys were before I walked in there. I rellied on a false review, checked out the other place that was recommended and then checked out Pure Ink. I am now a new client of Pure Ink and I will send everyone I know that wants a tattoo to Pure Ink for an awesome experience! Oh and to everyone else, their lobby does look great! Was very comfortable. I surely enjoyed their seating, Johnny Buttercakes!

I had the privilege of spending quite a bit of time at Pure Ink this weekend & could not have been more impressed with what I saw. The place was mobbed for great lengths of time & each time without fail, Greg would greet you, Rich would take your info & process your paper work & then an artist, Patrick, John, Shawn or Danny would then come out, introduce themselves, shake your hand & show you your design before preparing your stencil to make sure all was cool. No matter how busy they were, they never deviated from making sure everyone there was comfortable with their decisions & comfortable during their tattooing sessions. The shop was immaculate & very comfortable. I watched quality piece after quality piece being created by the artists including pieces for myself, my wife, my father & my mother in law. Ive had a few done before but these were firsts for the other 3 & all LOVE them, largely in part to the care & hard work of their artists. I cant wait to go back & will recommend Pure Ink to anyone looking for ink, especially people who have been wanting to but have never pulled the trigger. Cant wait to go back again.

I recently went to Pure Ink for a scheduled session that was offering $40.00 tattoos for a local charity. I went to the counter and announced myself that I was here and looking forward to the session. However, I was left in the lobby for more than an hour why the artists and their friends all stood around and joked and me looking like an idiot waiting for a bus. But that was okay because nobody saw me from this establishment. I did however got greeted and ask if I needed help from the person who was associated with the charity...not the business, these people should take cues from her. The owner claims that he work with famous artists, including well renown Shoties, well, I have been to Shoties and let me tell you he and his staff have never ever treated me as someone who was a nobody. They realize that a tat is something you live with and a personal message and take great pride in their work and relationship. These people should build their people skills, never will I go here again, I told my friends this and the all stated they will stay away.

i have gotten all 3 of my tattoos at pure ink. every time ive gone into the either for mine or a friends they have always great nice helpfull and reasonable. well i dont think i deserve a free tattoo but i figured Id put my story. i would love to get a tattoo that represents everything about me. ive dedicated almost the last 10yrs to being a fireman and emt. i am a second generation fireman and emt. my dad has been both for well over 35+ years. i started when i was 15. and Ive seen alot of bad thing happen to people. i would love to be able to to get a tattoo that represents everything about it. something that can show what we as fireman and emt go through on a daily basses. the difference we can make between life and death. ive have people die in my arms but i have also brought them back and given them another chance with there love ones. like i said in the begining i dont deserve one. but i figured maybe my story would be worth something to someone out there.

I got my first two tattoos here at Pure Ink. When I was 16, I went to Lou, and he gave me a beautiful apple tree on my wrist. He worked his hardest to make the experience as painless as possible, and I instantly knew I wanted to go back. The second time I went was even better. He did amazing matching tattoos on me and my mom. It was my moms first tattoo, and his work on her was amazing. Aside from his amazing talent and beautiful artwork, he is a wonderful person too. I have a somewhat severe stutter, and Lou was so patient with me as I told him what I wanted. As he worked he made me feel better about my speech impediment, and our conversation was heartfelt and warm. He has a great sense of humor that will calm you down as he gives you a tattoo, and he does his best to make getting a tattoo a pleasant experience. My mom and I traveled from New York to Pure Ink both times, and it was so worth the trip. I plan on getting many more tattoos by Lou.

Never been here before, but was interested because they were doing a fund raiser for the 11th Hour Rescue. After checking out portfolios online, I sent over an appointment request for the fundraiser event and attached my idea of what I wanted. Received quick and friendly response with an appointment for 6pm with Dan C. I arrived at the studio a bit early, was greeted by Rich, he was super friendly! They took my information, we had some laughs, then I met Dan C. He had a stencil already made, which I liked SO much better than the idea I sent in. When i got into his room, we talked alot about his Japanese training and that he does tebori. He even gave me some information about Japanses tattooing that I didnt know. Really appreciated that. I never felt more comfortable with an artist or a studio as I did here. I cant wait to go back and get more work by Dan. Totally love this place!
