There are two hair supply stores in this area. The other one on central is owned by really unpleasant Indian people from India(as opposed to Trinidad). They will not even answer you when you say hello. I thought this place was better because the Asians from Korea who own this place are very engaging. However I have had several bad experiences here. Back in November my mother passed away(no ones problem but mine)I spoke to a sales person in the store extensively, like for 40minutes..about clip ins. I get to my hairstylist and she has sold me a bunch of different packages. It is a very good thing he had others of his own, because they were closed by the time we realized this. So the next day I bring in my receipt, the product unused, and I explain that I need a refund. The young ladies(sweet girls)explain that under no circumstances do they give refunds. Needless to say I FLIPPPP OUUUT & I leave with my refund. Fast forward, I brought recently two conditioners when I obviously wanted a conditioner and a shampoo. Receipt in hand I ask to switch. Shampoo is cheeper by like $2. They will not give me a $2 refund...I am forced to buy something for $2 or leave it on the table. Not to worry..I will not return. If I have a receipt I dont see any reason why I can not have a refund for an unopened product. The notice of NO REFUNDS is posted everywhere, so that is obviously my fault for buying here. When your mother dies, however, maybe youre not reading signs.

Ive been a customer of Mimis for 27 years. I like it when you can walk into a beauty store without being followed or asked every five seconds if you need help. I walk into Mimis, get what I need, and if I pick up more than I needed, Im assisted in a professional and respectful manner. And, Ive always been greeted upon entering the store and thanked for my purchases.
