Since I was a teenager, I always enjoyed the smaller shop (on the left when entering the lot) because they had really interesting fossils, minerals, and back-in-the-day: whale vertebra. As a kid I thought the food was great at the adjacent snack bar. As an adult, it is nothing special... mostly fried seafood and burgers. But the view makes it all worthwhile! There is a larger gift shop across the parking lot that sells everything you can imagine; shells, Cape May diamonds, clothes, sunglasses, freeze-dried piranhas, decorations, fine jewelry, etc. Update July 2017: ugh! They remodeled the smaller shop. Much less selection, more Chinese goods, much reduced minerals, hardly any unusual fossils, the giant shark teeth are plastic now :( Half the store sells t-shirts. Very disappointing... The charm of the old store is gone. Outside they sell lawn ornaments and driftwood ($20-$250 really!) lots of Chinese lawn banners and kites, hardly any cool natural history items anymore.

Ive been going to Sunset Beach forever, since the early 60s when I was a kid, as a teen and young adult, and as an adult with a family. While on our Wildwood vacation, we always make a stop at Sunset Beach. We all look forward to the trip down that long road that ends there, and we love the shops, the ambiance, we always leave with our Sunset Beach souvenoirs, and I dont know what it is but that stop at Sunset beach is the one spot for me where all that stress just goes away. Since they built the miniature golf course that has now become part of our visit. My wife and I were down a few weeks back for our annual winter getaway, and I know well be back in the summer. Its become part of our familiy memories that I know everyone will always remember. :)

Sunset beach is a great family place to go when in the Cape May area. The staff is very friendly and they accept the four legged visitors as well! The shops are unique to the area with something for everyone. You can also play miniature golf. It gets crowed right before sunset when they do the flag lowering ceremony...(brings a tear to your eye thinking about the true meaning) every evening. Of all the places in the world Ive been, this is one of THE BEST locations to watch the sunset!

This is a destination! Sunset Beach has 3 great shops,mini golf and a beach grille with great food and a view to match. Found out that the same family has had it since 1973. They are really friendly and actually seem to enjoy what they are doing. Their evening flag ceremony in the summer honors US veterans and is run by the 90 year old owner who is a WW2 vet himself. Just a great place !

Probably pretty cool if you like spending money on shells and rocks that you can pick up for free 50 yards away on the beach. If youre hungry theres a little restaurant to get some food, also a little beach shop to buy beach accessories..

It is definitely a gift shop, filled with a full range of souvenirs dedicated to the beach and Cape May. I always enjoy making it a part of our visit to the Point and the Concrete ship. Fair prices and friendly staff.

I wish I could give this shop a higher review, but I just cant do it and be honest. It was not terrible, but nothing particularly great stands out about it. Very cramped aisles overflowing with touristy type items.

Love this place...the souvenirs, the jewelery, the unique items, the windchimes. Every time hubby and I go to Sunset Beach, I buy another windchime. And now they sell Wine. Theres something for everyone.

One of my favorite shops! Such a variety of items here, wine, jewelry, household decor, books about the area, and of course sea shells! Right at the beach too, so I can put my feet in the sand!!

Wonderful selection of souvenirs reasonably priced. Mini golf isnt anything special but is still nice. Staff is friendly. Also has a fantastic view of the ocean.
