I had a similar problem as the "scam artist" guy. I pulled off to buy gas, and met Beard-o (who I actually thought was kind of a neat guy), but when I got back my card was charged the $60 hold fee and the money I eventually paid in gas. The gas money went through all right, but the $60 has continued to sit there for almost a week. When I called them up to complain, I didnt even get Beard-o, I got somebody else who said that the hold was "for my protection" and they refused to do anything about it, even though I am about to take another trip and need the money. (BTW, I have already called my bank and they assure me that the merchant CAN do something, if they want to, they even gave me the number for the merchant to call. They just dont want to.)

Went to Vegas and we needed to get gas and this Chevron was the closest one. Got to it and the first thing you notice is that its an old gasoline station with a separate tank for each grade of fuel. Anyway, we went and got gas and the attendant who looked like santa claus ran our debit card. Anyway, we left there and went home to LA, by the time we got to LA the debit card had two $60 charges on it. If you are not running out of gas, I would recommend to stay away from this gas station. Its no wonder they cant upgrade, because theyre scam artist... in this day and age people like this still exist... what a shame.
