I didnt purchase a vehicle here this time, though I did purchase one from them several years ago. I was searching on the web and found a GMC truck that I really liked on their lot. I know that these trucks are prone to rust in the rocker panels and cab corners, so I asked about this on the phone. The salesman (Paul) stated that the rockers were newly replaced. I ended up taking the 1.5 hour drive up to their lot for a test drive. The truck drove fine, started easily, braked well and was exceptionally clean. I was completely prepared to hand them the full asking price without even offering a lower price because I felt the truck was that good of a value. However, I decided to check closely for rust since I knew they had already replaced the rockers, there was no need to check there. However, I noticed that the fender flares (a little too large for the truck with stock tires) looked new as well. I asked the salesman if they had put them on there and he stated that they had. I then stated looking into the wheel wells and found through rust in both front and rear wells. I started questioning in my mind how sold this truck actually was, so I got underneath the truck to inspect the frame. After a very brief inspection of the frame, I found substantial rust and was actually able to put my fingers through the rust in the frame of this truck. I dont know who does their inspections, but they should certainly be questioned. I also believe it likely is, but if not should be, illegal for this car lot perform superficial repairs and try to then sell inferior product to a consumer. This is not a matter of me being overly critical. This company knowingly sprayed black paint on the frame of this vehicle to disguise a DANGEROUS situation. There simply is no sort of excuse that they could use to convince me that these "car people" didnt notice how heavily rusted this vehicle was when they were giving it this cheap face lift. It frustrated me, I handed the salesman a handful of his frame rust and walked away. However, after giving it more consideration, I decided that I needed to write this review because how many people wouldnt think to, or wouldnt know to inspect a vehicle for these types of problems. I kept imagining if my girlfriend had gone there alone to buy this truck. She wouldnt have known and aside from the terrible and dangerous rust problem of the frame, this appeared to be a very nice truck. The carpet and seats were clean and stain free and there were no visible defects that most people would look for. This could have easily become a $9000 mistake and if someone has already purchased it, I apologize for not posting this sooner. If no one has purchased it yet, perhaps the company will consider their reputation and get this vehicle fixed properly (if that is even possible) before passing this dangerous vehicle onto some unsuspecting buyer.

My husband and I just purchased a 2011 Honda Civic LXS from here. The car is beautiful but they need to work on their management issues. We told the owner on a Tuesday that we would be back Friday morning after 10 a.m. When we returned, the car was clean, as promised, but the title was at the owners house about 30 minutes away and he was in California. I had just worked an overnight double and my husband had worked overnight. The guy at the lot was finally able to get in touch with the owner and the owner wanted us to come back the following morning to get the title. We opted to stay and have one of the other employees drive to the owners house to get the title (we napped in our car while we waited). When he returned, over an hour later, it was discovered that the title was an out of state title and needed to have the ownership changed over to the lot owner THEN to us before we could purchase the car. After that ordeal, the employee at the lot who was helping us was trying to fill out the paperwork on the computer but he said that it looked like the subscription for the program they use hadnt been paid for for this month so he had to fill out the paper copies of everything (not that this is a problem) which had been printed by the owner. The lot owner hadnt done anything except print those papers and was out of town KNOWING that we were going to be there that morning. He left his staff to fend for themselves and deal with all the chaos. The guy helping us went out of his way to fill the gas tank as an apology for everything not being as it should have been. The cars seem to be in great condition and are offered at a fair price but the staff can be unprofessional. The guy helping us was just as interested in talking about how he doesnt get paid enough and about everything going on in his personal life as he was interested in getting the car sold. He also used frequent foul language. My husband told the guy at the lot that if a solution wasnt found soon that we would take our business elsewhere. The guy said, "The lot owner is a good man and will do what he can to work with customers but he doesnt really care if we buy the car or not. He would just sell it to someone else." They also didnt have any temporary tags for the cars "because they were waiting for more to be sent from Kansas City" which we thought this was kind of weird. We also had been told that every car gets an oil change when they arrive at the lot yet when we looked at our oil level, it said "40% oil life" and it was low on oil. The guy seemed to be honest yet not as professional as would be expected. He was frustrated with the owner just as much as we were. All in all, it was not a bad experience but it could have been MUCH better.

I would stay as far away from this car dealership as possible. Service, mechanics, and their cars are awful (even though they look good and are priced well). I recommend looking up their complaints on the BBB, as they are much more accurate than these Google reviews. In April 2013, about 16 months ago, I bought a 2005 Honda Civic with 69k miles from US Motors. The car had a clean Car Fax but Ive had nothing but problems (see below). In May 2013 the car starting overheating. I took it into a mechanic to look at and he said the spark plugs (3 out of 4) were cross threaded into the engine. He could not get down to look at the head gasket/engine without removing these and possibly causing permanent damage to the engine. I had a warranty on the car, so I took it back to US Motors. After being accused of cross threading these myself into the engine, I was told the head gasket needed to be replaced. They fixed the head along with putting in a new water pump and timing belt. 2 weeks after replacing the head gasket, a rod in my engine broke rendering it inoperable. My mechanic said the oil wasnt replaced in the engine, as is standard procedure when fixing a head gasket. They denied and said they would not cover the costs at 100% to replace the engine, but would honor the original warranty at 75%. Because it was not worth getting a lawyer over a couple hundred dollar difference, I had them replace the engine with the 75% warranty. A few months later the car started to overheat again, after my warranty expired. I took it into the Honda dealership and they said the head gasket again needed to be replaced. The dealership also asked if the car had been a prior salvage vehicle because the trunk was replaced (and VIN number was scratched off), car was repainted, VIN numbers on body didnt match original VINs. The car fax showed nothing remotely related to these repairs, which it now looks like somebody tried to cover up. In the 16 months that Ive owned the Honda Civic, Im out about a total of $8,000 between repairs and loss of car value. I would highly recommend going elsewhere and paying more for a reputable dealer.
