I love Home Depot but this store is extremely under staffed. Employees are too busy to help. Customer service training is needed. Instead of putting the customer first in the lumber department they decided it was more important to load a truck that was taking Home Depot product to another Home depot location. They do not put the customer first. I have to wait until the finish taking care of Shipping and receiving. There is no product to ship if you dont take care of the customers who buy the product. Nice people but Business priority training needed. As I was typing this review Greg came up and saved the day. Thank you Greg! He was very helpful. However, as I continued to shop it got worse. Employees who work in a specific department dont know where things are in their department! Training needed! !!!

Other than Michael M from the Flooring and Lori M from the Paint department most other employees I have dealt with are very uninformed as to the store itself and even their particular departments. I would also recommend if you are buying carpet or flooring do not let them install it(Sub contactor hired). Buy the materials and have someone else install or do it yourself. Get a referral instead of letting them hire the cheapest person possible to do the job. They were very slow in getting someone out to do our 4 room job and will have to come back numerous times to correct issues. I am hoping by putting this on here it will stop someone else from making the same mistake my wife and I made. We had so many issues I dont know where to start.

Terrible Customer Service in Tool Rental. I called the tool rental to ask if they had a certain item and was put on hold for a long time only to be hung up on. I called back and again was put on hold. Finally when the guy came back on the phone, he told me that he thought they had the item. I asked if he actually looked or if he was assuming that they had the item. He said he was really busy and didnt have time to look. I would rather he not answer the phone than waste my time.

I recently saw "We do installations" in HD window. I bought a toilet for $218. and wanted it installed. I knew of the 129. installation charge but no mention of all the fees involved. Delivery $35. On/Off valve 25. Permit $75. installer had no permit. $13 haul toilet away. In all the cost of installation was $495. What a rip off. Will never have HD install anything. The sales associates were uninformed as to any of these extras. Mr. Mardney

This is my local home improvement store. They always have everything I need when I go, if there is a special order that I need I will place it online and either pick it up at the store of have it delivered at home. They also rent all sorts of mechanical equipment and the rates are very reasonable. I often use their rented tools for deck refinishing or other small to medium jobs around the yard.

I am a contractor and spend thousands each year at the Troy MI location. I must say the store Manger Nick Walls has taken very good care of any issues with special orders and price match. He is the main reason I continue to go back. Would be great if the homedepot found more people like him. They have several good guys at the pro desk.

Today was not a shining day for home depot. No Assistance in lumber, then no truck available. Paid for stuff, will come back in 30 minutes, still no truck. Came back 4 hours later with a reserved truck. Truck not available. Maybe an hour... got the truck in 35 minutes then find someone to load ... hmmm. Finally got on my way.

Not bad... but their staff is horrible sometimes. I had a very sore back and asked an employee if he could help me carry a propane tank back to the refill station he just said "thats not my job" and gave me slack. Really?

I would agree about the customer service comment in tool rental. I was placed on hold for a long time when I called...the price to rent the same tool in Lansing was $15 cheaper than it is to rent here in Troy. Hum...

I love the art and craft event they offer for kids every first Saturday of the month. They always have food and drinks and today the fire department was here to teach children about being safe. It was a lot of fun.
