Ive purchased 5 sets of tires from Discount Tire and have always had a decent experience. My last purchase was in July 2015 for a set of 4 Pirelli P7s. Approx 4 months later I began getting a pull to the left which increased as the of speed of the vehicle increased. I took the car back to the Shelby Twp discount tire location and they remounted and balanced the left front tire. The car continued to pull to the left so I took it back and they moved the tires around in an attempt to stop the pull to the left. Still no improvement. Took it back a third time and was told that I obviously had an alignment issue. I took the car to the dealer where I bought it and they checked the alignment and told me that the car was in alignment and that no adjustments were needed. I took it to another repair shop who confirmed that the alignment was fine. I went back to discount tire and showed them both alignment specs. Discount tire agreed to take my tires back, but stated that they would prorate the tires due to them now having 7000 miles and that it would cost me an additional 300.00. I left the store without making a decision on the 300.00 increase. I decided to contact Pirelli Tire in Georgia in an effort to get some help. It was a long and frustrating experience dealing with Pirelli, but they eventually did the right thing and agreed to take all 4 tires back and reimburse discount tire completely. Im happy to report that after several months of negotiating with discount tire and Pirelli, that I now have 4 new tires that were installed at no additional cost to me. I am even happier to report that the new tires corrected the pull to the left completely. Even though this was a frustrating experience for me, I must say that the employees at discount tire in Shelby Twp, Fred, Jim, and Rob, were all very polite and professional and that in the end my tire issue was resolved to my satisfaction.

I called up asking to see how much it was going to cost to get a set of rims from my old set of tires mounted on my new set of tires. (Take aftermarket rims off old tire and take stock rim off new tire and swap) They gave me a price of 106 dollars which sounded good. Once I got here I was told that quote was for just putting the aftermarket rims on new tires and not the stock rims back on the old tires. That ended up raising the price 40+ dollars. Then then came back to the room and told me that changing the sensors was going to be 2 dollars more a tire. when i called to get the price, knowing it was a 2016 vehicle you would assume they would know that it has sensors. Once they started working on the truck they said I had the wrong lugs for the aftermarket wheels. I told them before they were doing any of the work I had lugs in the truck, so you would think before they started pulling wheels off and tires they would have checked that out. Midway through the job I have the wrong lugs and the new set was going to be 50 more dollars so my good quote of 106 went to about 200. i wouldnt come back here due to that fact. i was given a quote of 160 at Nightengals in Romeo for 160 and they were going to do all 8 tires.

Purchased five new tires for my truck here. Factory wheels, tires ect... Since day one they could not balance tires correctly due to installing incorrect style wheel weight. This method allowed the wheel weights to come loose almost immediately at highway speed. After three different attempts over a length of time and checking same make and model truck elsewhere to reassure that they are in fact installing wrong style wheel weights I had to give up at this location. After studying a pdf file I downloaded from this locations wheel weight supplier online I came to the conclusion that after 15 minutes I had more knowledge on this subject than the people working the counter there. So long story short prior to just taking my truck to sears automotive "they offer a purchasable lifetime balance and rotation for a one time charge" I stopped at discount tire on Hall rd. I explained the situation, provided pictures and they reassured me the other location was wrong and couldnt guess why they did what they did. I had the tires balanced there in no time with the correct style wheel weights, handshake and a smile was on my way with no extra charge.

I have used this store several times over the years. They have good prices and good products. After purchasing the last set of tires which expensive tires to the tune of $900. Good service and out the door fast. Recently, my wife detected a slow leak. I went in on a weekday morning. I was told about 1 hour and 45 minutes. Ok needs to be fixed. I returned 2 hours and 10 minutes later. Nothing done, guy at the counter told me they was busy. Yeah, so am I. I understand it was busy but If I was spending another 900 I would have been taken care of much differently. If you want to buy new tires for a good price might be a good place. Dont expect good follow up service. Done with these guys. My business will be taken elsewhere after several purchases from Discount.

Had a simple nail in tire to fix. Took it off myself for easy drop. They were pretty busy and I was told to come back for it in 1.5 hours and as soon as it was done he would put it on for me. No problem. I came back later and sat in the lobby right in front of this guy for another 2 hours. He was either a completely clueless individual or blatantly ignored me being there. Over 3 hours total and finally I had to ask where the f- is my tire? He was like "oh yeah its sitting right over here and we can put it on for you if you wait about a half hour. I said no thanks and just took my tire and put it on myself. A complete waste of my time. I just so happen to need a set of five brand new off road truck tires and I will buy them from the competition.

Spoke to Jeff, made a appointment days in advance to avoid a long wait. When I arrived I was given a price much different than I was quoted online, I understand there may have been some misunderstanding and looked past it but decided to do the minimum amount needed which was was switch out 2 tires under warranty. It took 3.5hrs for this to get done. Whats unacceptable is that after I decline to the higher purchase, I was put on the back burner to wait as "walk ins" coming in after me were getting get out sooner. Very poor customer service, Im a senior and Veteran disappointed with how they handled this.

This is my go to tire place. I get a ton of unusual tires mounted and dismounted due to a hobby, and these guys are always great to work with and very accommodating. I have also purchased quite a few tires through them and they are always willing to flex on price. Pro-Tip: Bring someone to give you a ride. Your experience will be much better if you plan on leaving your wheels (or car) at the place and going to run some errands. It can get pretty packed, especially after that first snow storm.
