Been here 3 different occasions in the past 2 months since it reopened in the new locaton. Very uncomfortable experience each time. Ill drive the extra couple miles to another dollar tree location just to avoid this place. The staff is rude, one women in particular (black women who wears bright blue eyeshadow) is making announcements over the p.a system every few minutes making reprimands. Shes a nazi, its the dollar store lighten up. I get they dont want to store to look unkempt but shes over board. Its just uncomfortable to be around someone nagging at customers every few minutes. Lines are long & back up cashier takes their time getting to the register even after multiple calls for extra help. Yesterday july 31st, i have my items ready to cash out & my fiance in line with me, picks up an item on display in the line towards the register & shows me, then sets it back on the display in the same correct place he picked it up from. This women cashing us out (the unpleasant nazi) tells my fiance to "hand me whateva you just squeezed ova there & left" my fiance gives her a puzzled look & points to show her nothing is out of place, she then apologizes. Just an awkward experience. Wont go back. That women is a nut.

Beginning on our about July 6, 2017 this store will close its doors. It is the last store, besides Sears, left in the Sears shopping center on the corner of Dix and Southfield. The other tenants have long since moved or gone out of business. There is still a Big Boy restaurant on the property. Otherwise, this Sears, built in the 1950s, is all by its lonesome. The good news for Dollar Tree fans is theyre not moving far. Their new digs are across the corner where the Walgreens was for a few years at Dix and Southfield, near AT&T.

My goodness, Ive never seen anyone who hates their job as much as the staff here. Theyre always complaining and carrying on rants with one another by the registers. And they hate being asked questions. Smh. But one stands out. Dont know her name. A black female probably in her late 40s early 50s. Ive lived by this store a long time and can NOT believe she STILL works there.
