New True Value Hardware within a mile of our house - on Farmington Road just south of M-5/Freedom Road. Lots and lots of good old hardware stock. Walked up and down every aisle. Owner is has local roots too - North Farmington High School grad. Should be a good location. Lots of parking and right between the new Ollies and the old Dollar store. This is gonna cut my trips to Home Depot. Only downside is the 8 pm close. And extra hour would be nice for those of us who work a little later.

This place is an excellent hardware store hands down.... I paid a touch more BUT I was in and out and they had the odd stuff I needed that even plumbers wholesale, home depot, and menards didnt even have and not dealing with those stores makes it all worth that tiny extra cost... (all three box stores told me they dont make it but I know better they had it right on the shelf)

I like the large size of this hardware store, as it allows for a wider selection and wider variety of products. Customer service is excellent; I was greeted upon walking into the store and was even asked if I needed any help. The place does look a little dreary, though--particularly the floors--as they looked a cheaply put together.

I received an ad for BOGO free potting soil from True Value. I went to Alexander True Value and they would not honor their own ad . Lucky for me Great Lakes Ace has just opened up less than one mile away. I proceeded to purchase my potting soil and another 100 additional dollars in lawn fertilizer from them.

The staff here really welcome you to the store and they definitely offer help in a non intrusive way. The manager is a friendly person also and seems to have a good rapport with customers. Great place to get tools, hardware, cleaning supplies you name it.

Great location. Great service. Great selection, good prices. Supporting local businesses like this is very important. Depending on the item i know it may be a tad cheaper at home Depot but I save more going here in gas and most importantly my time.
