I saw this place on Instagram, so i decided to take my family here (September 11, 2016 at 7pm). The Custard Hut is not close to me at all, I stay in St.Clair Shores....but the Instagram page for The Custard Hut had some really interesting hot waffle samdwiches. The Custard Hut was getting ready to close due to the end of season so we were on our way... upon arrival the staff was very kind... We end up ordering 2 butter pecan ice creams with caramel and two hot waffle sandwich.. Upon my daughters second bite she broke a bracket on her braces thinking it was a pecan.... she said the pecan was super hard, so I looked further at the pecan and looking at it for awhile to my amaze it was a piece of wood!!!! I told the staff and all they were willing to do was replace the ice cream or give a refund, but definitely NOT both... I couldnt speak to a manager or the owner cause it was "STORE POLICY"..... IM SO BEYOND DISGUSTED AND PISSED.... WHAT I THOUGHT WAS A GOOD IDEA TURNED INTO A NIGHTMARE!!!!

Went in wanting to try this place the girls working there are skimmly dressed and look like strippers, they were wearing close to nothing on their cellphones and not giving me good costumer service. after placing my order a girl went to sit with her boyfriend and completely left the front stand.. the icecream is over priced and tasted a bit old to me, also it is inconvient they dont have a credit card machine i would never recconmed this place to anyone..

This place is perfect when you have that craving for ice cream in the summer. They have a nice variety of flavors in soft serve, hard serve, milkshakes, gelato, water ice, frappes, and so much more than I can list. Lines are usually huge at night or on hot days but the staff are very polite and usually has the line moving quickly. Wish there was better parking, though.

The girl she works here she was so rude and acting like racist i say hi she say what you need ?? Need help with line control at their busy times or signs that say keep the door shut so people are not pushing each other around. Other then that it was a great experience! Waffle was hot, soft and crunchy, cereal was fresh, crispy. Ice cream delish. Would recommend and definitely return for some more good treats!!

I went in to get ice cream and custard and they put my spoon on the germ filled counter and the worker touched it with bare hands and when i asked for a new one she put the same spoon she put on the counter back with the other ones very unsanitary I wouldnt recommend anyone to go there!!!!

This place is trash. I bought a rainbow slush and it wasnt rainbow. It was purple and white. That wasnt the problem though, the rainbow part about it was that it was every slush flavor combined. THATS DISGUSTING. What a waste. Bad service too. The lady was probably on her period.

This is the place for soft serve frozen custard! Rich and creamy, the flavors change all the time so allways a new taste. Get the hot waffle sandwich! They have "normal" ice cream too, I thought I saw they had at least one vegan flavor. Allways busy and allways quickly served.

Was just at custard hut when I witnessed the rudest customer being verbally abusive towards the girls behind the counter. The way these girls handled it made me love this amazing place even more! Good job girls For defusing such a difficult customer.

I forgot what frozen custard was like when I left to the West coast! But now that Im back, this is my favorite place...smooth and creamy and always delicious, even if there is a line its goes by fast and is worth the wait! =)

Custard was ok but the stuck up staff and horribly incorrect menu ruined it. They dont even have half of the things they offer. Not to mention the large glob of glue from the cone sleeve half way down my cone

Really yummy. The lines appear long, but its a small shop and they move quickly. I cant wait to go back & try more flavors. The pistachio & toasted coconut twist is amazing! So many options... Its everything!

We asked bout the hours and the lady WENT off been going there for years but since they changed hands theyve let little bitches run the place dont even waste your time and prices have gone up. Screw them.

Literally the best custard ever. Doing the waffles and custard is like heaven in my mouth. My girlfriend and I are in love with it. Definitely to go here if you havent. You definitely wont regret it.

The attendant had poor customer service. Treated the first customers and myself like we were bothering here, yet we were the first patrons for the day. Not to mention we all were black...go figure.

Delicious custard! The Vanilla is just right. The flavor of this week is Strawberry Banana Twist. A childs delight! Im sure even the oldest child will find a tasty treat at the Custard Hut.

I just want to let everyone know the hours on here are not correct.. I cannot correct them but we open at 1 and close at 9 during the week and on the weekends we open at 12. Thank you!

The custard and hot fudge brownie are delicious!! Really good service. Just a small shop and barely any seating area inside. But there are picnic tables outside.
