Upon entering the Mall in a CMV for early delivery, I make my way to receiving to discuss parking until delivery appointment. The receiver did not know, referred me to mall office down by H&M and Security Office. After entering office I spoke to a representative who decided the mere sight of me was a great and dire offense to her sensibilities. I politely inquired into the mall policies on CMV parking until delivery, and was promptly and abruptly cut off with "There is no overnight parking". I responded with "I understand, I am delivering later, but would be gone by 6pm". She responded curtly with, "that is fine" then turned to walk away and suddenly jerked back around to tell me, "your kind belongs at the truck stop, my husband is a driver, you belong at the truck stop" " Am I making myself clear". I respectfully replied, " I understand, yes you are making yourself clear" "thank you" and I left. It is clear from my 1 interaction with this malls staff and management, that Professional CMV operators are not welcome even to stop and shop from even the dock area, and that mall policies are not communicated properly between mall tenants or personnel. It is also noted, in Purple Lot, there is no signage depicting whether or not CMV operators are welcome or not; which is why I took the initiative to find personnel of authority who could address mall policies. Respect was given, but it was not reciprocated in the condescending tone of this managers responses to simple, clear lines of inquiry. I will forever remember this mall, its name, location; in infamy for its clear lack of respect and professionalism. If it were possible, I would give a 0, instead of a 1 star. Edit: Issue Resolved.

I want to like Briarwood for nostalgia reasons, since its pretty much the only true mall near here. At the same time, I struggle with the choices the owners make in terms of the overall customer experience. The efforts to modernize seem to focus on eliminating the very things that make a mall worth going to these days. Things like holiday decorations, comfortable lounge areas, and great family spaces all seem to be abandoned in an effort to re-imagine as trendy and modern. If I really need something from the mall, Ill go, but I never think "Hey, lets hit the mall first and see if we can find what were looking for there!"

Good offerings at a medium sized mall. Mainly dominated by four main stores. It is setup very efficiently with different wings. Never experienced any kids misbehaving or acting out, leading me to believe security does a good job. One star less than 5, because as aformentioned only a medium sized offering. Lacking a holister, full sized cellular store, or a non-designer outlet/outside goods store. Also the food is spread over each wing rather than one central food court. (There is a central hub, only with coffee and cookies)

If your sick of the in-your-faceness of Detroit malls, you might want to trek out to Briarwood. Its much more laid back, and quite more ginormous than the malls around Detroit. Went with my mom and little bro Black Friday some years ago, and have been back quite a few times since. Had some probs transversing the humungous parking lot - 6 inch heels, you know (my little bro, lucky him, wore sneakers.) Surprisingly empty for Black Friday, though we got there a wee bit past the early birds. Got some good deals; it was fun.

The first multi level mall that I ever went to as a teen, as someone who is now 40 years older and has a little harder time getting around, yeah it doesnt have its cool water ways around anymore but those ramps and stairs in the middle of this place are still downright stupid! But the area around Starbucks Coffee was nice to sit in the comfy chairs, visit with my friend, listen to the piano and watch other people get confused about the steps and ramps that seem to go nowhere!!

Great mall with a wide selection of stores big and small. Perfect for serious or novelty shopping. Typical food court options are slim, but instead several decent restaurants are always available in the mall or surrounding it. Holiday events are reliable and fun. Few entertainment options, though. So come here for food, shopping, or a little pampering with standard mall-quality salon, spa and massage options.

I go here whenever I have the time. No matter what time of day Briarwood is a lively plaza filled with stores you love. Going to each store literally feels like a separate place on its own minus the travel. The overall vibe is comfortable and the stores services are individually suited to that environment. I can honestly say, that Ive never felt out of place and that each time I go I have a blast.

This mall has improved a great deal since 10 years ago. Its not as big as some of the other malls, but it has all of the stores that Id want to visit. My only gripe is the parking area. The lines and parking lot is deteriorating, and the one way directions isnt clearly defined. The left turn lanes into the parking areas are terrifying, since you have to turn across 2 lanes of traffic.

Going to Briarwood is like being in another country these days and I found myself feeling very nervous and anxious during my last visit. Most wont say it, but I will. I should feel safe in the land I call home, but the entire Ann Arbor area as well as huge chunks of Wayne county are places I try to not visit often anymore. Very sad feeling.

Id consider this a good mall, maybe "upper-middle" tier. Nothing really fancy, but a lot of what you need. Nice as far as typical malls go nowadays; high occupancy rate and newly renovated stores. This is one of the malls built by Taubman in the early 70s, along with Lakeside Mall in Sterling Heights and Fairlane Town Center in Dearborn.

Solid Mall. Has all the basic amenities. The addition of a row of nice restaurants is a nice addition to what was formerly just a food court and CPK. There is now a PF Changs, an Italian sit-down joint, etc. There is also a lot of other stuff nearby, including Costco, Zingermans Bakery/Creamery, and some smaller satellite malls.

I am not a mall shopper, to expensive for me. But this is a very nice friendly place. Lots of stores, awesome restaurants and a great place to come on those cold winter days to walk and meet friends. Not to many indoor shopping places any more. Safe and great parking and easy to get to. Ann Arbor seems to be a great area.

A very lively mall with big brands in apparels, fashion, electronics and food. Plenty of place for kids to run around, sit and relax or to enjoy sweet snacks. Ample parking complimented with easy access and surrounded by hotels like Hilton, Sheraton, Marriott and Holiday inn. Convenient access and ample parking spots.

My girlfriend I came here on the recommendations of many people hearing that it was a great mall, dont get me wrong its not a bad mall or anything its actually pretty nice but its tiny I would much rather go to 12 Oaks Mall, Somerset Mall, Oakland Mall, Great Lakes Crossing or pretty much any of the bigger ones LOL

For a mall these days, they have kept this mall pretty decent. The store select was a little higher end, which was good (J.Crew, Banana, Pottery Barn, etc.). Glad to have this conveniently located to run in last week to J. Crew. Clean, kept updated, and child play area if needed.
