DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HAVING STUFF PICKED UP BY THIS ORGANISATION Thought we were doing the right thing by donating. Wasted a work morning and they didnt take stuff they said they would. We had scheduled a morning pick up... stayed home at work until 1:30pm. They came and said they would not take the bedroom dresser because of some small scratches. I had described this on the initial call and they said that wasnt a problem. We have a whole living room maybe $4/5K worth of stuff we are replacing in a few months. You can be sure as hell that we wont use the Salvation Army... what a pity...

Great place for t-shirts. This thrift store has almost everything under the sun but I have only found it useful for t-shirts and Halloween costumes. I always say why go to American Eagle or Old Navy to buy a t-shirt for $15-$20 that says "Als Towing - We Love Hookers - Dallas, TX", when you can go to Salvation Army and get a t-shirt that says "Chucks Towing - Methuen, MA" for $.99 ? Its common sense people. The reason for only 3 stars is the fact that everything else there is pretty useless unless you are trying to find a funny yankee swap gift. Check it out and you are supporting a good cause.

The "Manager??" of this store is UNBELIEVABLE!!! Multiple time I have been in I have overheard him be SO rude to the other employees and sometimes even the customers! I was shocked when I overheard the way he treated one of the employees right in front of me! NO ONE deserves to be treated this way! SO UNPROFESSIONAL and INAPPROPRIATE! Beware of the man with the longer black hair and nasty attitude! Otherwise for a thrift store I love this place! Its hit or miss, like all thrift stores are, but they have fairly good prices and I have scored some great items.

Re: Furniture pick-ups~Just dont be on of the last pick ups , they wont take theyll say "we cant take it its has too many scratches or whatever. That happened to me twice I was shocked my moms stuff was so nice. Later someone spilled the beans the truck is full or by that time the workers dont want to bother..it made total sense considering some of the crappy stuff Ive seen at the RT 1 store, unbelievable~ That place is not priced to sell either its hilarious how they decide pricing. Go to the dollar store, biglots or walmart!

Ill never go here again. They separate clothing by color rather than sizes. Who does that? Im plus sized and disabled it would take me all day to go through the clothing. They are overpriced and put out broken stuff. So if you go there inspect things well. Sometimes labels are put over chips and cracks. Also I donate things there and they give things back to me that they dont accept. I dont have time or energy to then go to Savors to donate the rest. So now I just donate at Savors.

First dropping off donations at the area labelled drop of donations here I was told hey you cant park there got the worker to at least look at what I had barely looked in the car and said we dont want that...it was a bunch of good readable books from the 1800s to present,Nick nacks, glassware¿ Epilepsy foundation on the North bound side of rt 1 saugus at the DSW plaza(across from Sears) gladly accepted the items with a big thank you!

Very disappointed in this place I will never donate to them again .they have a nerve to be picky about what they take like kids toys that were in excellent condition . I thought that this was what they were all about .Especially at Christmas time when some child could have really enjoyed these toys . I will no longer give to the bell ringers either this has made me really question what they really do with the money that they collect.

Took a half day from work and waited around for them to pick up furniture I wanted to donate. When they finally got there they wouldnt take any of it because of minor scratches. I asked the men that came them why would they not have told me that over the phone....their answer "They dont tell you anything, they just want us to come and check it out."

Tons of items, nice people. Mainly we shop for clothes and never leave without something. Even if I wind up not using one or two things, the others I buy more than make up for the money spent. Have also bought household items, most recently a small set of nested glass bowls (5, from salt cellar size to fruit dish size).

On occasion have good stuff. I go there to treasure hunt to resell on eBay and clothing for myself. Prices are not that good on electronics or other good things(that were donated and cost them nothing.) Clothing is cheap though. and the help isnt that friendly.

Excellent selection, very well organized. Found exactly what I was looking for (basic denim jacket to customize, in a good wash). Great shoe selection and some real gems that arent difficult to find, thanks to the employees who keep the store neat.

Rude employees. Prices were ridiculous on so many items. Made me feel ashamed that I had donated so much over the years thinking that they would be reselling at prices that are affordable to people in need.

Go to a different store. The owner/manager is a jerk. (Other reviews confirm this) Wouldnt take anything that other location gladly accepted. Said I wasted his time. Sorry for trying to help other people.

Great buys but the new gal back in the furniture store needs a refresher class in customer service. Bit of a chip on her shoulder and always rude. ?????
