The point of the salvation army is to help those in need, this shouldnt be treated as a business in which all proceeds benefit the employees. The proceeds and donations should benefit people in need and this store will reject your donations because they already have one in the store or the person will tell you there is already enough furniture to sell so take yours somewhere else. The salvation army in northbridge massachusetts DISGUSTS me in their selfishness and inability to see that the community is donating to help people not to benefit the store. They should probably read a book on what charity is, instead of turning people down when they are trying to donate good quality furniture and when the store has enough space to store that furniture. I recommend going to ANY OTHER salvation army, but NOT THE ONE IN NORTHBRIDGE, MA.

First of all, There is in fact a very large BUILDING at this location, not a house. Maybe a previous rater should get different directions & make purchase on a GPS unit when he or she gets to the store. EXCELLENT STORE, EXCELLENT STAFF. HUGE SELECTION. I VISIT IT WEEKLY. Items are arranged BY COLOR IN EVERY STORE OF THIS TYPE ACROSS ANERICA. I VISIT SEVERAL OF THEM FROM CALIF TO MAINE. Go, u will not be disappointed. :))6

Bought my husband a cordless drill here yesterday. I understand it wasnt very expensive, but we brought it home and the battery that goes with it wouldnt charge. I called the very next day and she said I should have plugged it in first...isnt it their job to make sure the merchandise they charge money for works??? So now i have a worthless drill and Im out some money. I will never be returning here.

Either a wonderful time and good prices or you find the worst people on the planet and everything is outrageously overpriced. Its hard to test electronics because a lot of the plugs around the store say plug not working on the faceplate. Theres extra electronics in the back if you go straight ahead from the front door to the back wall that everyone misses.

Had something pretty large to drop off, showed up 15 min before closing and they graciously took it and helped unload it. Unfortunately not all the money that is made on re-selling donations goes to help those in need. For that reason it get low marks.

Great prices for clothing that is color and size organized making it easier to find clothes. Other donated items such as furniture and accessories are available as well for great prices.

great finds and prices are very good. However some of the older staff members are grouchy and not friendly. I come here often and it feels great saving so much money.
