We have purchased dozens of computers from many many places for family members over the years and this is by far the best experience we have ever had. I have never trusted a business more. For example, one of the computers I purchased was an expensive specialty-built machine (which I expected to cost lots more) so I wanted to prepay, but they would not let me. Every person in this company is cheerful and happy to help with even the most ridiculous of questions. (I think if I had arrived with a flat tire, they might have changed it.) I had many many questions about using my new computer (I am old and not terribly tech-savvy), and any other company might have referred me to the manual, but they were extremely patient with me although I am sure I was annoying. But what my husband appreciated was the boodle of money we saved. He was prepared to spend a small fortune to have the laptop he killed repaired, but RTR found a far cheaper way to keep him computing. On another occasion, I was going to buy a whole brand new computer from them since I had broken mine, but instead they diagnosed it as a broken $20.00 power cord. All the computers we have purchased have been way below listed price. My only complaint with the company is that I couldnt convince one of their engineers to move in with us and answer our computer questions on a daily basis as they arose. I cannot say enough good things about Renewable Technology Resources. Thank you so much! Victoria Street

Truly 5 Stars as stated. I contacted Allen on facebook about adding more memory and restoring my Lenovo T410 to OS Windows 10, which I have purchased the laptop from RTR a few years ago. He told me to bring it to the shop that hell have it taken care of it . And that they did, upon arriving I met with Jimmy, who is one of the techs there, and he told me that itll take a day to complete and I was fine with it. 3 hours later I get a phone call from Jimmy that it was all set and it indeed was. After i got home, I tried restoring my backup from my previous version of OS Windows 7 to Windows 10 from my external HD and inherited bunch of problems. I imaged the backup which caused me to do double the work of importing my music into Itunes, as well as the imagine also came with Malware which caused my PC to freeze up while on Serato. Thankfully Jimmy was patient enough to run me through the fixes over the phone and I was up and running again. I appreciate all his hard work and dedication and Im sure if I ran into anyone else besides Jimmy I would have gotten the same type service. Note: Im not too computer savvy but managed to get through with his assistance. Thank you all at RTR, Customer for life

I asked Santa to hit up RTR for my 9 yo son. We wanted to be able to participate in some of the Cambridge Coder Dojo classes and we didnt have a laptop. The instructor recommended RTR. I talked to Al on the phone about my sons interests; he makes dinosaur videos, and needed to be able to edit and publish them, and he also likes minecraft and online coding classes. We have a desktop mac at home but I didnt want to get a mac laptop and worry about damaging something so expensive. So we decided to go with a pc. I didnt know anything about pcs, which makes me a vulnerable customer! I didnt want to walk into a Best Buy or anything like that, because I essentially have a "clueless" button on my forehead. Al talked about what they had that would best serve our needs in a range of prices. I ended up with what I think was a good investment that will last a while, at about what I wanted to spend. I still didnt know what to make of it, except that my son was happy. But it did feel good when his cousins were telling each other, "He has an i7! Mines only an i3!". I have since referred others to this place and would definitely return for future purchases. Thanks, guys!

Stellar experience with Renewable Technology Resources. I called to make sure a product I was looking to buy would work for something I had purchased from another source, and Jim, the tech guy (smart fella!), took so much time with me. He made sure he understood my question and equipment before giving me an honest answer. I then returned the defective (unusable, really) product I had bought from another source and bought one from here. It was a matter of a simple phone call, and my product arrived very quickly. I am more than pleased with the whole experience with this place of business. Wayne is who called me back to make sure the product I wanted was what I wanted, and that was it (he has a great sense of humor, too!). I am now on my laptop I got from them, and it is better than I expected. I truly appreciate the honesty, integrity, and level of service provided. After visiting RTR with a friend last year, who purchased a 17" MacBook Pro, (and hes completely satisfied with the computer as well as the service he received from Al and crew) I determined to revisit the shop for my next computer purchase. Al stepped up once again, last week, over the phone, discussing Mac options to suit my needs. The offerings were plentiful and enticing. Upon coming down to Essex Street, yesterday, Josés professionalism, personality and engineering aptitude carried the day. He answered every question I had, consulting with others as necessary, and could not have been more accommodating. In the end, I purchased a 15" MacBook Pro, maxed out with RAM, and a Mac mini, all for a quite reasonable negotiated price. Ive told friends about RTR in the past, and will continue to do so. By the way; its good to be back in a Mac after my last one took sick three years ago. And Yosemite "rocks." Al and José, you made the return easy. Thanks guys.

Renewable Technology Resources is the best! Initially I contacted them after viewing one of their refurbished units on Craigs List. Wayne and Al were very helpful. They spent a generous amount of time talking with me on the phone and in person (at their store in Lawrence) qualifying my needs as a consumer/end user. The respect and customer service that I received from the entire staff at RTR was second to none! Do yourself a favor and contact RTR when you are in need of any laptop, desktop, or tablet. The products they sell are of the highest quality and latest technology! Wayne and Al will take the time to determine what you need and customize your system (if necessary) to fit your requirements and budget. Most of the products they sell are "business grade" or better and surpass the quality found at any box store. Give them the opportunity to earn your business, they want it! You will not be disappointed. Thanks again RTR, I will be back!
