I have tried doing business with Tom Fornier, the owner for years. Every time I have done business with him I have left feeling overcharged and disappointed. Most recently I had a major service done on my BMW GS 1200, $1,600.00 later, I was quoted $1,300.00 I got my bike back. One thousand miles later the engine blew up!! After doing a lot of research on what could cause this to happen to a bike that ran like a swiss watch for 48K miles I learned that there are a number of possibilities. 1) Coincidentally it does happen!! 2) The mechanic that did the work did something wrong!! My hunch, he adjusted the valves so that they would not seat properly, this causes the valves to over heat and snap!! Well I towed my bike back to DuMbars and was charged an additional $300.00 for Tom to tell me the motor was destroyed, NEW motor needed. I quickly picked my bike up and brought it to a GOOD BMW authorized dealer Greater Boston Motorsports where I had a new motor installed. I picked my bike up 8/23/2014, one and a half weeks after I dropped it off in pieces from DUMBARS. My advise, STAY clear of Tom Fornier, he is a sleazy, bad Machanic. It seems his Mission in business is to piss off everyone that walks thru his door. Personally everytime I have been there, any one of the customers that are there are complaining about something he did. OH! I didnt mention that when he gave back my bike in cardboard boxes he never fastened the seat properly it was not in my truck wnen I got to the other dealership. Of course he claims no responsibility and refuses to replace it!! SURPRIZED??NO

I took my bike for a scheduled 7500mile service. i normally wrench on my bikes, but since I bought it used, this is the newest bike I have (by good 30 years), and it had never been gone through, I figured that it might be a good idea to have it looked over. The shop is beautiful, well organized and very clean, which was the first good sign. Then the mechanic, Devin, was incredibly meticulous. Because I wrench on my bikes, I always have a slight apprehension about someone else work on my bikes, but on this rare occasion, I was happy with how thorough, careful and meticulous he was, I felt so good knowing that my bike was properly taken care of. He really was incredible, working 4 hours straight through. I nearly had a heartattck when I saw the bill, but I was warned that a good Ducati service would be pricy (this is my first Ducati), so theres no way Id hold it against the shop. I read a couple of negative reviews about this shop, but my experience is top notch, Devin treated my bike as if it was his own, and Im very grateful. I highly recommend this shop, Im convinced that they will do just right.

This is an excellent dealership. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Tom, the owner, is very personable, and knows more about bikes than anyone else I have encountered in this field. He is always there for advice and suggestions and direct hands on and how to knowledge. They have an excellent parts inventory, and the facility itself is clean, bright with many bikes on display. The service department is fast and reliable. Best of all, the work they do is solid. I have never had a problem of any kind bringing my bike there for service.

My father purchased his BMW in 1995, I purchased my Ducati in 2000, and Im looking into returning for my next motorcycle. Tom and his staff are the most friendly people. They are always willing to help with information or just talk for a while. When I go to Dunbar I feel comfortable and happy... Ive left other motorcycle stores that almost make me feel like I need a shower... like Im now slimey... this is never the case at Dunbar.

This dealership sucks service wise, customer service wise as well. You will leave with a damaged bike after paying top dollar for repairs only for the delusional owner to blame it on the work that was done at another shop. Worst bike shop in Massachusetts.

Like the people at the front desk, but then I met the owner - turned away my business to service my bike because I didnt buy the parts from him directly - gave my business to his competitor and wasnt given any problems and they were also cheaper.
