Really, Patty C.? True, I was rude for making a comment about the staffs looks but YOU really dont want to go there on peoples appearance. Grow up and get over it and dont dare attempt to attack my beauty. Youre doing the same thing youre so pissed about me doing. So NO ONE on Google ever wrote something in the heat of being blinded with anger? Im totally the only one!!!!! Google is first and foremost people writing of their experiences at business. Yes, Im Elite but all that really means is that Ive written a ton of reviews. I dont go to any parties or grab freebies, either. I shop and write reviews. The story has bit of details but Ill try to condense it. Id never been to pawn shop and only went to this one because an acquaintance got a REALLY nice skateboard and grass trimmer from them and spoke highly. So I go over and they say theyre all out of skateboards and garden tools (lots in stock). An employee cons me into buying a Scooter and leafblower that he had in his car. I have my wife go back and she just asks for my money back. He says that you dont buy crack without getting a receipt and she had no receipt so he didnt know what she was talking about. Then he says that she was harassing him at his job and to leave. She speaks with the manager/some older gentleman and he says that the exchange didnt happen in the building so he really doesnt give a crap. Seriously? Who preys on a young ladys eagerness for a skateboard, naivete about lack of knowledge of WalMart merchandise? A pawn shop, of course and that was my mistake but I expected better of them, especially being in this kind of neighborhood across from a homeless shelter. Keeping my original review up. "Filth. Trash. I know its a pawn shop, but geez. Extremely seedy business goes on here. Buyer beware, youre highly likely buying stolen merchandise. Employees and management are rude, seedy, dirt that are rude and crass to people that come in. Wouldnt send my worst enemy to this pawn shop. Yeah, pawn shop you get what you pay for. Wasnt aware that meant paying less for other peoples crap meant you risk walking into a crime den and possibly get scabies."

Absolutely awful. Called to see if they took what I was selling a pair of good headphones not beats but comparable. Was told to "hurry" in as they are closing at 6 and it was 5:15. Came in and asked a fair price for the headphones the woman hemmed and hawed in her disgusting smoker voice while she found the cheapest pair the Internet could provide. She then asked the other guy and he said they wouldnt take them. So, when I called on the phone a direct no we arent taking those would have been just fine. But instead I wasted my time driving into this horrible store with hopes of getting a little cash. I will never ever bother with them again.

I have been coming here for 16 years,mostly for short term loans on excess jewelry. The staff has always given me fair market value on my items.I have also bought many items from them from time to time.The price i have paid for the jewelry has always been in line with current gold markets.Recently I purchased a gold cross for Christmas,when i brought it home and noticed that the figure was slightly loose.When I brought it back it was fixed within 2 days at no charge.Empire loan is not just a pawn shop ,it is a trustworthy,friendly ,knowledgeable establishment.I am proud to have them as an asset. Kept me on hold for over 20 minutes, then when finally answered said shed be right with me, waited another 15-20 minutes until finally the woman came back on the line, I was trying to inquire about items and if they would be interested, while only speaking a few seconds, before even introducing valuable items Im sure they wouldve wanted, their female employee working hung up on me. Bad business at this shop. Maybe they should teach employees how to talk over the phone, of fire the one that just lost them ALOT of money.

My personal visit was a joke. I went in to sell 2 items looking for a quick 20 bucks.. They wouldnt givs me anything.. Took the same to items to v and told them i needed20 they gave me 30. On top of that the employees at first national pawn trash talked 2 of their costumers as they walked out the door. I will never be back.

Very helpful and patient. My first time at a pawnshop and I had a lot of camera equipment that is very important to me. They took a lot of time to catalogue everything and make sure I was happy. When I went back for the equipment they were happy that I wanted to check everything over carefully. Very positive experience.

The negative/spam revues here ,is written by the owner of another pawn shop in‎ - Malden. He is doing this to get more buisness and has NOTHING to do with empire . Talk about a scum bag! the guy post negative remarks here and on whole bunch of other competitors to drive buisness to him.

I went here to buy wedding rings. The staff was helpful, the selection was reasonable, and the prices good. Their jeweler resized my ring for free. I was pleased with the experience.

Would not give me loan on watch because it had no box. I paid 6000.00 for it at Torneau not happy wasted some energy with my six month old girl time. I will not be returning again.

These clowns accept stolen property. I know because they have a camcorder stolen from me. They made it very clear that they could not care less. Low payouts for my electroniks.
