I am sure Wells Discount Liquor is a fine place to purchase alcohol at a discount prince; however, Ive experienced some not so subtle racism here. I am an American of Korean descent. I came to buy a six-pack and the manager looked at me and asked me if I spoke English and if that was my dog in the car. At the time, I was wearing a Redskins t-shirt (I am a DC native) and flannel pajama pants with Mizuno running shoes, an ensemble which screams, "I am a comfortable middle-class American!" I asked him in return, "do you speak English?" He shrugged and said "you cant leave the dog in the car. Just rules and regulation." I responded, "you shouldnt make assumptions about people," to which he replied, "Just follow the rules." Needless to say, it will be my last time Ill be visiting this store.

You are trading price for selection and service. It costs, in some cases, 1.5 or 2x what you might pay somewhere else, but in return they will try and see if they have something in the stock room which is missing from the front, and the selection is really the best I have ever seen anywhere, and I have lived in several cities throughout the Northeast. Another reviewers comment about the racist element is well taken, however I am hispanic and have always been treated courteously and with respect here. it is possible that in the 3 years since then they have cleaned up their act, or maybe it was just a bad apple. I always make sure stop by when in the neighboorhood (not from there but my girlfriend lives nearby). :)

My neighborhood liquor store. Great prices and selection compared to other local stores. Very friendly staff and quick check-outs. Although, the parking can be irritating during prime hours. I try to go there in the "off" times. Would recommend this liquor store to anyone in the area. Im not quite sure of the racism, as I am a Caucasian woman. There has been a great deal of crime in the surrounding shopping centers lately, which may be the basis for following people. It is unfortunate if following customers is due to race and would be disappointing. Although, I generally would not agree to leaving a dog in a car depending on the temperature outside (this is in regards to a previous comment).

We stopped here on a recommendation of a friend and boy what a treat!!! We were like 2 kids in a candy store! The store was jammed pack with bottle after bottle of everything we were looking for and much, much more. We came in for a few bottles of wine and left with an entire cart!! The staff was incredibly helpful and the checkout service was quick. They even had someone carry our purchase out to the car. Great Service!!! So much better than the other stores we usually shop. Thanks Wells, you have made us customers for life!

Id like to thank the incredibly helpful staff at Wells. Patrick was diligent in fulfilling my request for a beer that turned out not to be distributed in Maryland and had a case at the store for me within a month. The entire staff is always friendly and looking to help you find what you need and, in this case, above and beyond. This is definitely the place to go if you are looking for something other stores dont carry.

Six packs are an avrage of $2 more than every other store in the area. $3-$4 12 packs. Also the liquors you cant buy with a normal credit card seems to be very targeted at a specific set of customers. If its not rush hour, keep driving north on York Rd to get to much more fair priced liquor store. I have not experienced quality service posted in other reviews.

Employees are rather in bad mood most of the time. They are not friendly customer oriented staff. It seems they wanted to sell me wine that was not selling well in the store. The advise given to me was not truly genuine. I also have a Spanish accent. I wonder....

Best liquor in Towson. Huge selection of beer, wine, and liquor. Craft beer, fine wine, and huge range of liquors. Best price for liquor and wine that Ive found. Friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

Gotta love Wells. Friendly staff with helpful recommendations. Wide beer selection. The make-your-own-six-pack feature is a very nice touch. Im in here a lot and I always find something new and interesting.

Customer Service is great, but prices on the micro brews are outrageous. I be damned if I am going to pay $40 for a case of my normal brew when I can get it for $30 at Beltway or Midway.
