Been wanting to go here for a while so I came prepared to eat. The location in Remington is easy to find but parking is challenging if the parking lot is full. It was raining the night we came so made it that much more frustrating. The actual place is very nice. Very "trendy" looking. My biggest complaint is that any party of 6 or more sits at high top tables for 10 on no back stools with no foot rest... not great for anyone with knee issues, back issues, short, etc... there are no other options for large parties during prime dinner hours we were told. My party of 6 had a 7pm reservation. Upon arrival we were told that our table would be ready soon as they were just waiting for people to get up. We didnt get seated until 7:40. At a high top table with a party of two that was already seated there. I have a very bad back and needed a back so I requested to get a bar stool instead from the hostess because they had backs. Nothing. It wasnt until I spoke to a manager that I got the bar stool. Not a great start. The menu is severely limited. We mostly knew this ahead of time but figured its a butchery place... so well get a great steak. One of the people in our party was a vegetarian but we heard they had amazing local sources vegetables and sides so it would be fine. Wrong. At 8pm on Sat night they had run out of their Ribeye so 4 of us ordered the NY strip only to be told 10 min later that was sold out too. The waiter also said they couldnt make us a vegetarian plate. After speaking to the manager again they found us some Ribeyes and were able to get a vegetarian plate. We ordered the butchers block as an appetizers. The Salamis and other meats were interesting but would have been better served with the delicious bread sleeve they served later. I thought it was slightly overpriced at $24. The roasted beet salad was yummmmy, a highlight of the night. In fact all the food was delicious. Steaks were cooked perfectly and with a delectable chimichuri sauce and butter. Potatoes were good, if not a little lacking garlic and salt. The greens were very good if not a tad vinegary. Even the veggie plate was scrumptious. Dessert was also amazing. Hubby said the Blondie was the best hes ever had. The butterscotch bread pudding was good and while the concept of lard in a cake sounds disgusting the chocolate lard cake was seriously tasty. The manager did offer to buy us a bottle of champaign because of the issues... though I wish he would have bought our dessert or the butchers board... would have been better. The service staff was pleasant if not always helpful. Besides the stool and veggie plate issue it took a while to get our check... and we again had to ask the manager. Final thoughts... I would absolutely come back if there were only 4 of us and I was guaranteed a booth to try some different things and have the NY Strip. Hopefully the lack of steak is not a regular occurrence and we caught the staff in a strange situation.

Me and my family went here Wednesday May the 18th. We had a large group around 15 people or so. When we first arrive we noticed they had street parking and didnt notice for ourselves any signs to see if it was okay. We went in side and asked and they said yes. We went inside and we all ordered a round of drinks and my handicapped grandmother wanted to use the restroom. As the restrooms are down a flight of stairs with no ramp they had installed a machine to take down someone in a wheel chair and back up. Lon story short we got stuck and the machine messed up multiple times. A man who I assumed was the owner was trying to help but didnt seem to really care at all. It was the painter that actually helped the most. And come to find out he said he already knew there had been issues with it but didnt seem to care to get it fixed. We finally got back to our seats 45 minutes later with no real apologies or offers to provide us with free food or anything to try to make up for it. You remember in the beginning we all ordered drinks? Even after all of this me and my grandmother get back to our seats and I still had yet to even receive my glass of wine. I hope no one goes here. Horrible experience. Horrible management. We had to pay for our check. And to top it all off when we went back to our car we had received a $56.00 parking ticket.

I went here for a casual dinner with a friend on a Sunday night. I had a toulouse sausage and roasted beets drizzled with yummy smoked bacon trimmings. The food was really, really good, but pretty expensive for what you got - the sausage by itself was $10 and the beets were $9. I had an excellent porter with my meal, but beware - I didnt see any beers that were less than $7 for a pint. Also, this is a MEAT restaurant. Everything they have appears to have meat in it; even the butter they seve has pork fat mixed in. So, this place rules for those on a low carb diet, but would be awful for vegetarians. They also have less common meats here, like chicken feet, which is cool as long as you want to pay $20 to gnaw on some chewy chicken parts. The vibe was pretty cool, but super hipstery, which is a little of a turn off - I would have preferred a more "authentic" and less contrived attitude. In summation, if you love meat and you dont mind blowing $20-$40 for an excellent but kind of small meal, you should definitely check it out!

My wife and I went there and we were so extremely disappointed. It was honestly one of the worst meals that we have had in a long while. The pork belly appetizer with mole and chimichurri was devoid of any mole sauce and mediocre at best. This is the first time Ive ever complained about pork belly and deservedly so. My wifes melon appetizer was just a piece of cantaloupe covered in salt but I blame her for ordering the cantaloupe to start. The main dishes were worse. The "boar" chop (a fancy way of charging $45 for a pork chop) was way too salty and extremely dry. The accouterments were worse. Some bitter greens and tasteless mild peppers. My wifes chicken was mediocre at best but I get better tasting chicken at Costco. Honestly, I dont mind spending $100+ on a good meal but spending that for a poor meal is so very disappointing. The only reason I give it one star is that decor is cool and the beer was good. Also, I hear they have a great sandwich shop for lunch but wont be back to try that out.

We went there for lunch hoping to eat some delicious steak. So we thought, hey, its a butchery, they must have great steak! I ordered the ribeye and my husband the tavern steak. They informed us 10 minutes later that they were out of ribeye, so I ordered the Tavern as well. The two appetizers we ordered were pretty good, and the waitress was great. Unfortunately, the steaks were not. Despite having them cooked two different ways, they were both extremely chewy. The potatoes were way undercooked and still hard on the inside. We were disappointed. Maybe dinner is better, we dont know. Maybe we should have complained, but we didnt. But here is my review.
