If you know what you want its a fine store. But if you need any customer service its like all the people there are clueless. Walked in one day and one of the workers said "this place is going down hill". I agree. Anyone who continues to work there and get experience tends to leave. Who can blame them? This place is depressing. Went to the pro desk with an order and they put it together, mostly, although they highlighted stuff they didnt have, which makes sense, but they also didnt highlight other stuff that they didnt put with the rest of the order. Why is it so hard to have a list and check off what you grabbed and what you didnt?

Few weeks ago i went in to get a paint sample matched. Stood at the paint counter while plenty of employees walked by with no help. Finally just left. Went to Lowes and it only took 20 seconds before a employee walked by and asked if i had been help, he then promptly paged the someone to come help me. Few days ago i order fuses online and went for in store pickup. Got back to the house and they were the wrong voltage from what i has ordered. Went back and the lady at the service desk simply just refunded me and said order them again. Why? so it will come in wrong again and waste more of my time driving to and from. No thanks.

Putting my home on the market. Needed help upgrading my kitchen and bath, and selecting a paint color to repaint the entire interior of my home. Lisa was amazing in the Kitchen Design area. Helped pick out a beautiful, and inexpensive, Formica counter-top for both the bath and kitchen, new sinks and faucets, color for my kitchen and bath cabinets and hardware. She has amazing sense of color, style and design. The end product is amazing!!! If you are color-pallet challenged like I am, talk the the pros, they are great!!

We had bought an electronic deadbolt. It worked sporadically so went to exchange it. Since it had worked the day we installed it I lost track of the receipt. They would not exchange it for a working one. Even the department manager said it was a faulty lock. They offered me zero help. Now I have a $200 lock that doesnt work and a hole in my door. Worse customer service ever. We have spent thousands of dollars there and that is how I was treated. Lowes will be getting all of our business now.

Horrible. Big corporation at its best. Brought in a sportsman generator in which I had purchased from HD website with a warranty. 2 Weeks later, I find out I need to call the 800 number in order for the tool rental guys to fix it. So, I called the 800 number and they try to get me to bring the generator to Plymouth, NH. I will be shopping at lowes or finding a small business in the area for my home improvement needs from now on. Moral: DONT BUY THE WARRANTY or DONT BUY FROM HD AT ALL.

My family and I have been doing some renovations on a rental property and every time we go to Home Depot the employees always criticize us for needing a certain product to clean or repair the property. Ive had employees tell us we need to raise our kids better so they take care of their house. Hello? They dont live in our rentals! Dont waste your time and go to Lowes. HD used to have great customer service and now it has gone down hill. Lowes typically has better deals anyway.

HORRIBLE customer service! I recently received a letter alerting me that I owe almost $2000 due to an error they made LAST YEAR during the purchase of my new kitchen & if I dont pay them back immediately, they will turn this over to a collection agency! This is after spending almost $20,000 on a new kitchen and weeks of headaches just getting the countertops delivered! I do not recommend the S. Portland store nor will I ever do business with them again!

Really screwed up my order. Called costumer service and Karen straightened it out for me. Update order was more screwed up than I thought, at least I got my money back. Called to reorder what I wanted.Nobody was in the department to take my order. Called the internet site to place the order, another complete clusterf*ck sent my back to the store that no one was there. no wonder their going out of business.

Ah the employees just refused to help and i seen other customers getting blown off by them as well. I havent shop here lately cause lowes is closer to my house but i was in the area so picked up what i needed big mistake ill stick to Lowes they are nice and curious and help you instead of blowing you off.
