Visiting Spencers is like a trip to 1950. The first thing you notice is the "Colonial" bread sign on the wooden screen door as you enter. The store has worn wooden floors, simple wooden shelves that create three aisles, and they still maintains a full service meat counter in the back. Dont look for frills and a wide variety of products, but they have all the staples and a charm that you cant find anywhere else. Even if you dont "need" anything from a grocery store, you will "want" something from Spencers, just for the experience.
