I was shopping around for a place to do my wedding makeup at a decent price. The mall counters required you to buy at least X dollar amount of products, and Sephora makes you buy a $50 gift card (which is stupid). So I called this place for their pricing. Running a little bit late to my own wedding, the girl did a fast but wonderful job my on makeup. It was visible, but soft and very natural. Definitely recommend that service. Thought about getting my hair done their too because I had clipped a coupon in their ad. But when I went to inquire about an appointment, they told me I couldnt use the coupon because I wasnt a first time customer because I got my makeup done. In which I thought was stupid, I had gotten a service done that didnt apply to hair so thus I should be able to use that coupon in their hair salon. Beware their coupons are misleading. As far as their products, they do have a vast selection but you have to be careful on the prices. The brands that they carry like Loreal, Max Factor, Maybelline are overpriced. Youre better off buying at a drugstore than there. Any other brand that is carried in a department store I would buy there, since they do have specials. But read the fine print.

If you have thick curly hair, I cant recommend getting your haircut there. The person who cut my hair was Brianna. She was really nice and friendly but that doesnt make a good haircut. When I came home, I had to even out some of the bottom because it was hanging out by half an inch. Plus, my style was not done well either (I asked for it to be straightened with a flat iron). The results were what I could have achieved at home alone. There was no "wow" factor for what I spent. I tipped her $10 while I was there, because it took 2 hours to work on my hair. Overall, I was very disappointed. If you have thick curly hair thats long and you want your hair to actually look fabulous - I suggest going to the Alton, IL JC Penney Salon and getting Becca. This store has a serious stocking problem. I have never had problems with any other Ulta store, but this one is out of my make-up the majority of the times I go in there. I drive over half an hour, usually specifically to buy makeup, and when I make the drive for naught, it is very frustrating. Especially when the workers just shrug their shoulders and dont seem to care. If Sephora carried my brand I would NEVER go back here. From now on I am ordering my makeup online from the brands website. Its unfortunate because I love the Ulta store up in Springfield, but this one is poorly managed.

I had just gotten a haircut at the mall when I came into Ulta to look at some hair care products and makeup. The mall haircut was a wreck, and immediately after leaving I put my hair up in a pony tail. When I walked in the door, I was given a coupon for a haircut. I told the woman about my haircut from hell, and she immediately took me back to the salon to fix me up. She salvaged my hair without making it much shorter and she helped me call the mall store to get a refund for my original cut. The woman was so friendly and helpful, I plan on going back for all my haircuts from now on!

Fantastic place to get your hair cut. Today was my first time there and I was welcomed by every employee that I passed. I told the female who cut my hair, Kaki, how I wanted it done and she added a little spice to it. I love the new look. There are four things I always look for when I try new places, professionalism, politeness, cleanliness, and talkative employees. I will be doing more business with Ulta in the future.

First time there....Empty shelves.... Couldnt find anyone to help me......Went ahead joined their rewards program to find out my points expired the next day. Thanks but no thanks! Sent Ulta a message and almost a week later no response.

This store is messy, never stocked, and youll feel like the workers are constantly badgering you but when you have a legitimate question, none of them can help. They never restock and the display/ testers are disgustingly filthy.

The salon manager Stacy is amazing. Great creativity, but still provides you the look you want. Ask for her. My wife has been going to her for 7 years and has never been disappointed.
