I purchased an electric adjustable height desk and a LifeSpan walking treadmill from Healthy Posture on Lawrence Avenue on Chicagos North-side. Not only do I LOVE my purchase, the actual purchasing process was painless and efficient. I found Healthy Posture (HP) listed as a authorized dealer of LifeSpan on its corporate website. I called HP and made an appointment with Rajeev, (owner) the same day. Three days later my equipment was installed and I was working while walking! I believe I received an excellent price, and the excellent service I received from the store made it ever more of a value. Rajeev was extremely helpful; he educated me on the different options, provided pro and cons on each, and patiently allowed me to walk and experiment with floor models. The installation was part of his service (in you need or want it). And when we discovered a bit of a problem with the desktop holes not exactly matching the frame holes (manufacture issue) he immediately brought a new one to take care of the issue. Could not have been happier with my experience at HP. As for the equipment. I am a 54 yr old athletic woman with a job that requires way too much sitting at a computer. I had seen a few walking desks in my clients offices and decided to give it a try. I can type, conduct conference calls, read and watch movies on my iPad all with no problem whatsoever. I walk anywhere between 1.5 and 1.6 miles per hour, and after approximately one week I had worked my way up to 10K steps a day, easily. In fact now, 2 months later, I often walk 12-13K steps a day. My only "compliant" is that the LifeSpan step counter needs to be reset after 10K steps, but since Im not using it as "exercise" equipment its not a problem for me.

The storefront while not the nicest or most glamorous of looking venues, does provide what it needs with a minimalistic design. Its a bare bones floor space with some products for demonstration that can shoppers can see and try out in person, I purchased a walking treadmill from the store, and the staff helped arrange for delivery, in an efficient and timely manner. They were good at working with my schedule to be delivered after typical hours, and understanding the purpose of the purchase. The Staff wasnt entirely knowledgeable about the inventory but was not afraid to look things up which is better than just pushing the sale with uncertain information. The pricing is also quite competitive so that is a plenty good reason to go in if looking for a specific item they carry. The only major improvements I could comment on is perhaps a better layout as initial impression when walking in is a bit too bare bones clutter and may turn some customers away. Also a little more off the top information about products might be helpful so there is less time back and forth looking up information about the item. Overall I would recommend this storefront to those looking for more specific or niche office work items, so if youre looking for ergonomic/exercise/specific designed office furniture this is a good store to check out

Like the smooth operation of the desk and the ease of adjusting the desk height. I got the wobbly chair and treadmill so I use both sides of the desk and frequently adjust the height of desk. Really appreciated the thoroughness when Healthy Posture set-up the equipment. The showroom visit was helpful because I could try the equipment and see options for setup. The owner took the time to show me many options.

If anyone has a home office, definitely visit the Healthy Posture store! Rajeev will tell you the pros and cons of each option when you visit. He helped me pick out the perfect chair and adjustable desk combo for my small apartment, which wasnt even the most expensive option. He really takes the time to ensure you get what you need for your situation and isnt focused on selling.
