He is a very talented artist and my piece turned out somewhat nice....however, he is one of the rudest men I have ever met in my life. I have two rib pieces one on my left, which I sat through for 5 1/2 hours straight no problem...and one on my right, which I had done at Mark of Cain. About 15 minutes into the tattoo I experienced more pain than I ever have while getting a tattoo. His hand is ridiculously heavy and when he digs into your skin you tend to flinch. Well when I did he started yelling at me to stop. Instantly getting furious with me.. I told him his hand was heavier than most and he didnt like it....my piece was a pinup girl and after two sessions(4-5 hours a piece) I had payed the man just shy of $700. Sounds expensive right?..well heres the kicker. Her foot, arm/hand, and entire head still arent finished. . Not to mention the bruising I had for a week or so. Im sorry but I will go the rest of my life with an unfinished tattoo rather than pay that jerk one more dime.

He is the best in Champaign Urbana. He did amazing work on me, the colors in my piece are still brilliant after 6 years. I have to disagree with the shop being "dirty", I personally witnessed him cleaning his shop many times during his working on my piece (it was large and time consuming). Rude???? Only when asked really stuiped questions. He was always polite with me. My father had his work done with him also and my husband. If you want true one of a kind work go to Nick, if you want flash crap go down the street. If you want happy perky people to do your tattoo....good luck finding anyone like that in Chambana.

I walked in to the shop wanting a sleeve based on Herman Melvilles Moby-Dick. I didnt bring in any illustrations of the novel, just a couple of passages. Nick did the design from scratch, after looking into the particulars of sperm whale anatomy. He consulted me responsibly about all the details of the piece, and honestly improved a lot on my ideas. The finished work looks incredible, seriously. It was a really ambitious undertaking, and he executed it impeccably. Nick is a rigorous craftsman. He takes a ton of pride in his art, and does whatever it takes to get it right.

Nick Wiggins is a complete jerk! He says he charges $125 and hour...I was there for 45 minutes and he charged me $140. I had a very simple design, and he completely messed it up...so bad that I had to have it completely redone exactly 2 weeks later, in another shop! The outline was 3/4 gone and the color had faded so bad that it had already looked like it was 5-10 years old. His attitude is aweful and I will NEVER reccommend this guy to anyone. I would definitely think twice before going here.

I have six tattoo experiences from six different tattooists in this area. My experience with Nick far outshines the others. He was a clean freak, I had to take off my shoes before entering shop. His work was free-hand and it is stunning. Youd be hard pressed to find a better ARTIST within 100 miles. If I want a friendly chat, Ill call my mom. If I want fantastic ink, Ill go back to Nick.

Ive known Nick close to 20 years, hes the only person who has tattooed me in that entire time because hes the best and quite simply the only person I trust to do the job. I have a hard time- no, an impossible time- believing that he did a shitty job and someone else had to fix his work. Sorry, sounds like bullshit to me.

Went there for a tattoo. Owner was asleep in the front waiting area. Business not very clean appearing, and the owner was a jerk. I will find another place to do my tattoos.
